This video is 30 frames per second. At 25:28, he got the correct answer at 29/30 frames at 0 seconds remaining, meaning that he was *1 frame away* from winning a quarter of a million, £250,000+. This is the biggest fail in the chase video game history, and that didn’t even deserve an empty hand

This also happened in roblox when the chaser was like "I said it just in time"

There is a second of delay between the :00 and the buzzer. This was most likely implemented to allow the player chasers of VS Mode to have their answer checked and verified, since it takes about one second to register players’ answers, and without it, people will be getting their answers in at :01-well within time-but have the buzzer go off in their face while the already-locked-in answer is being checked, leading to a team win when it shouldn’t have been. Unfortunately, the in-built chasers need less time to have their answers checked and verified (as they’re all done by AI) which can lead to instances like that…

I’ve semi-switched content because both The Chase Roblox versions that I used to keep up with are now either discontinued or just straight-up dead, and since there seems to be no better alternative, I’ve moved my Instagram-based spinoff version onto my KZread channel and that’s likely going to be my main content going forward, as I honestly enjoy making those episodes on the app 😄

The extra second between :00 and the buzzer was implemented so that VS Mode chasers don’t have the buzzer go off while their answer-having locked it in at :01, well within time-is being checked, declaring a team win when the answer was actually well in. Unfortunately, this is an app-wide implementation, meaning that if an AI chaser locks in their answer up to a half-second after the clock turns :00, it will still count the point.

the voice read the question in time. but his answer was out of time. if you search the clock freezes the chase on youtube. some real episodes have been fixed. also according to the official chase rules if the chaser startes there answer before the clocks hits 0 he can just finish it. which is annoying and they cant have a split second catch if when it hits 0 time runs out like in the show. like this video the chaser diddint get his answer in time which means still count 😠. i disagree but the chase think it counts. like this video stop it on zero seconds kzread.info/dash/bejne/pKat2cuDc9rfZZM.html he diddint get it in time on the final chase for the chaser.

And you are right with that rule on the irl show where an answer can be finished on :00 as long as it was started on :01, but that isn’t a chaser-exclusive rule; we just haven’t seen contestants utilise it as much. I guess one important bit of clarification is that the answer has to be started on :01 - you obviously can’t say “Rolls…” on 10 seconds and then finish with “…Royce” on the zero; that’s definitely not how it works…

Blame VS Mode for that. Players need about 1 second to have their answer checked and verified-regardless if they’re playing as contestant or chaser-whereas the AI chasers only need about half a second. The extra second between :00 and the buzzer was implemented so that VS Mode chasers don’t have the buzzer go off while their answer-having locked it in at :01, well within time-is being checked, declaring a team win when the answer was actually well in. It’s a 1-way street; we can either have false chaser victories on regular gameplay, or false team victories on VS Mode, but not both at the moment.
