This episode was awesome. Some Star Trek fans really need to lighten up.

Great review - thanks! Perhaps the comedy works so well because the whole crew is the foil.

I think the big smiles from Spock are from boimler's POV. Spock probably has regular smiles but in boimler's mind is just so wrong it gets exaggerated

It was a fun episode. The live action actors were very similar to their toons.

Yeah, insufferable

I thought it was amazing probably the best Trek episode since it came back on screen 5 out of 5, love Lower Decks and the melding work so well, I think the scene of Ortegas and Uhura fan girling of the NX-01 crew and then going are we acting like them and it pans to Boimler and Mariner was brilliant. Boimler is the Star Trek fan in us all!

I didn't feel Spocks smile actually be over the top as I saw it as being more out of Boimlers perspective where he has this image of Spock being this logical and emotionless person. Even the faintest smile on Spocks face would have ticked off Boimler completely I guess. So I take this comical almost maniacal smile was more an interpretation than, well, "reality".

I love this episode so much I saw it three ties within the first 3 hours of release

Eh I tolerated it on Buffy because it was fairly new, now everyone does it. By the time it got to the flash I was well truly done with the trope and just wish it would go away 😅. I know loads of people love them, I've just never been a fan -Riki

@@Mikerille we agree!! When they announced a crossover with an animated show we expected the worse though. I couldn't imagine how it would work, but it did and was one of the best episodes of SNW so far

If you "expected" it to be bad, why would you watch it? To encourage more garbage to be made? Brilliant.

To give it a fair chance, since sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised. Some are decent and some suck, but I cant really comment on something I've not seen and we've committed to reviewing the whole series -Riki

Horrid. I've seen every non-cartoon Star Trek and that was the first episode I simply had to stop watching. I feel violated

I almost didn't make it through the episode. The humor was incredibly cringey, and one note. Please never go down the Lower Decks route ever again. PLEASE! If it was a one off, then fine. Still painful to watch, but it's thankfully over now, and hopefully we can move on.
