Was Her Healing Prophesied in the Old Testament? | Messianic Theologian Reacts

Watch Sam and Dr. Tom's reaction to the woman with the issue of blood being miraculously healed as she touches the fringes or tzitzit of Jesus’ clothes. Why is it so significant that Jesus would wear these fringes and how does it connect Him to the Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament?

That actress who portrays the woman healed by touching the fringes of His garment does it so beautifully. She is amazing and beautiful too. God bless her for blessing us with her performance. That was a very beautiful and deep scene.

This scene hits me so hard. My 16 yr old has left Christianity. She was saved at 11 but the pandemic just messed up everything. God has told me she’s a prodigal. She’ll be back. Faith is my God given gift. I KNOW she’ll be back. This scene reminds me that my faith is not for nothing. I just need to hold on and keep reaching for the fringe of His garment. One day I’ll reach it and my daughter will come back.

Learn to daily prophesy scripture over your daughter, as there are plenty of verses that fit the circumstance. If you aren't familiar with doing that, author Stormie Omartian has a book "The Power of A Praying Parent" with detailed, intentional prayers at the end of each chapter. It's a great place to start. 🙏❤️

Hold onto that! There are many pastors with flinty hearts who are threatened by The Chosen. Threatened because they don't trust their hearts, and the heart is the MAIN target of this show. They will find all sorts of faults, just like they find in their wives.

@@peter25681I just talked to the pastor of the church I was thinking of joining and he told me watching this show is equal to worshipping false idols. Yet he never even saw one episode. I told him even though this source is through media they are trying to adhere to the Bible. And I have read many comments that this show has brought them closer to Jesus. I am so turned off by this attitude of pastors. If you are going to criticize, at least watch it. Kind of makes me think of the Pharisees.

The conversation between Jesus and Veronica after her healing was astounding and beautiful. Wonderfully written and powerfully acted. Such a simple story in scripture but with the backstory and emotional climax of this depiction we can better understand the meaning. A great example of how The Chosen can open up scripture to deeper understanding and appreciation

I was born and raised Catholic, and I remember being a young kid playing in the swing with my eyes closed and imagining I could see Jesus in every recess, up in the clouds, like meeting my secret friend. And that made me feel so happy and loved. Over the years, I forgot that feeling and slowly grew attached to this world. Last year, I felt the void in my heart, and as I watched the Chosen and you guys, I realized I know nothing. And I want to know more about Jesus, his life, and teachings to have faith, even a little like Veronica. Maybe that's why I cried in this scene and almost all the episode.

@childofgod3583 yes, the writing of Malachi was 400 years before Yeshua. The woman with the issue of blood would have heard that passage read in synagogue before the issue occurred. Once she heard about all the miracles that Adonai was doing through Yeshua of Nazareth I believe she put 2 and 2 together. She had faith that if she touched the tzitzit of Yeshua she would be healed.

Revelation 19:16 “on His robe and on His thigh, He has this name written “ KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS”…this references His Tzitzit.👍

She most likely was suffering with an uterine fibroid. Women can have one as early as 30 years old. Yeah, she would have indeed suffered with that for 12 years. I understood her quite well, and that’s why I’m in tears. Many women have or have had fibroids, including myself. They’re painful. They’re embarrassing - and debilitating, because all that blood flowing out means anemia. It’s horrible. When she threw herself to reach that thread, she must have taken the last of her strength. It was, plainly spoken, an act of faith (and desperation). No wonder He felt it! Nowadays, there are medical treatments that take those out, unlike in her time. Imagine how many women in Judea were suffering with fibroids. A lot of “unclean” women for no fault of their own.

❤ what I’m taking into account is that the men He healed were unable to have a quality of life because of broken bones, or paralysis. The woman quality of life is to be clean and accepted. We are all Gods children

This scene is so beautiful. Also when he heals Mary in the beginning of the show, it crushed my being. I cry Everytime. Haven’t cried like that since my fathers funeral 20 years ago. Just brutal and beautiful.

Thank you for giving me others to process this with! I get to watch after the kids go to bed and it helps to have others reactions to share the joy of Jesus! I pray I would fight for what I know to do to be close to God and "healed" the same way she fought for her physical healing!

To be a person back then and to actually see Jesus, to talk to Him, to touch Him.... that feeling is overwhelming. It makes me cry because I was not there. Someday I will see Him and God and I will become perfect.

How is it even possible, that there could be an 'anointing' on a show - and yet, there has never been another depiction of any portion of the Word of GOD, that when I watch it, I actually receive new insights, repeated blessing from the LORD, even after watching them over and over and over - up to 7 times? ONLY GOD. ONLY GOD.

What a powerful humbling scene. So full of emotion and intensity and relief. Jesus says" you have blessed me today" wow!!! The fact Jesus calls her daughter after her father disowned her because of a condition out of her control. We are all God's children, as He has no grandchildren. What a phenomenal scene.

I love how Jesus just returns humanity to humans. He treats people with respect, love, and truth and gives people their dignity back. This is how I imagine Jesus really was on Earth. Kind, compassionate, loving, wise. By the way, how can I watch the full reaction?
