I am from Malmö (Hyllie, the area that eurovizion took place). This "event" was totally fixed and backed from the Israel´s/EU lobby. EBU didnt care for 1000+ Swedish artists that signed a letter on January to not allow Israel to participate in the contest, they didnt care about the daily pro-Palestinian protests in the last week, they didnt care about the majority of the Swedish people that are against this genocide and didnt want Israel in. Instead they gave a false image of the situation, by showing Israeli flags in the scene very often, by 'increasing' the claps sounds and not the boos, by silecing artists that had mesages for peace etc. Also couple of days ago, in a popular Swedish tv channel, they had an interview with one of the organizators of Eurovizion here, he said that they were basically wishing for Israel to withdraw its participation because it was a big political/security risk, and he also mentioned that if Israel get a lot of "boost" votes and if possibly win, that will mean the end of the EBU/Eurovizion! They were scared basically of how much the lobby will affect the hole contest. No need to watch this kitsch, double standard show again.

Also, journalists from othe countries were harassed by Israeli media and again, the organization did nothing about it. The Netherlands was one of the televote's favorites. It was very "convenient" that he got desqualified based on a case for which thereis not even a conclusion yet.

I'm a huge Eurovision fan and this was the last place I expected to find commentary on it! Of course, I boycotted it and held an alternative Eurovision party with friends. It is absolutely disgraceful that Israel is being treated as a normal country when it is engaging in such genocidal and terroristic behaviour towards the Palestinians and exposes the total double standards of their (correct) decision to exclude Russia from the contest followings it illegal and aggressive invasion of Ukraine. The fact that Israel recieved the second highest televote across Europe (even from here in Ireland - the most pro-Palestinian country in Europe) is utterly shameful. The EBU's behaviour around this contest was a disgrace, particularly chiding Eric Saade for wearing a keffiyeh that his Palesinian father gave him and telling Bambie Thug to remove the word 'ceasefire' from her makeup and both of these people should recieve and apology from the EBU. I definitely believe that there was an organised campaign to get supporters of Israel - including the far-right and others who never watch Eurovision - to vote for Israel. Just to correct you: Olly Alexander got 0 points from the televoters of all the participating countries. They are the large points that are announced at the end (ie: the total televote from every country. The UK (and all other countries) cannot vote for themselves. And Graham Norton was just theorising about Israel getting a big vote (probably for the votes that I enunciated above). Unfortunately, this Eurovision has left a very bad taste in the mouth and the entire contest feels tainted.

I think it probably was and that's why I didn't watch it. I decided to boycott the contest as in my view Israel should never have been allowed to compete. Yet again Israel have been treated as a special case. It is now abundantly clear that there are no laws at all for Israel they can do what they want. Russia were kicked out for their actions in Ukraine so why not Israel. Quite frankly the west sicken me.

I am annoyed that Eden Golan was allowed to compete in the first place. I was even more annoyed that Israel was behind getting Joost Klein disqualified. For what? Just because he didn't want to be filmed. That press conference definitely had something to do with it, and the message he was giving in his performance: "no borders in this world" "we are all human" etc... His performance was wacky and amusing, Golan can't even sing that well. If anything, Norway deserved to win, they came last. Did they sign the letter for a ceasefire by any chance? Good for Olly Alexander for signing the petition. His performance was not exactly my taste, but shame on UK for giving him 0. They could have given him points for trying. I was always suspicious of this contest.

Came back to see the England entry😳 turned over, Tuned in again, saw a geriatric woman with two dancers in corsets so switched over, gave it 20 mins saw devil worshipers, switched over again gave it another 10 mins tuned over to see a woman in a shear black see through dress…. Here's an interesting tidbit about Joost Klein: The Dutch stated now that there was a camerawoman who kept filming him while there was an agreement that he would not be filmed at that moment, so he was disrespected and aggressed, no? He then made a dismissive gesture to this aggressor, which is allegedly what this whole disqualification is about. Now here's the million dollar question: if she was filming him, there should be footage, no? Or was she just waving her camera invasively without filming? Or is the Dutch statement untrue? Joost Klein was a favorite to get high votes, so maybe it was all about eliminating the competition… Meanwhile, on coming home, Eden Golan has stated that she was proud to have represented Israel and that she had the opportunity to be a pubic voice for the hostages still in captivity. So much for her participation not being political… 🙄🙈🙊

What Eurovision contest? Prevent global warming and switch it off.

I heard you can vote up to 20 times for the same Eurovision contestant from the same phone. By using a VPN you can easily appear to be voting from any country on earth while actually being nowhere near that country. Votes can easily becrigged if you are prepared to spend the money.Presumably the more votes the more money for the Eurovision company so they won't mind. I never watch it.

The sponsors of the competition was an Israeli company.

No one cares about Eurovision. No one even knew that it was on, here in France. lol... We have football and rugby.

Only europeans allowed. Israel is run by europeans. everyone in power there is of european descent. It kinda of negates their claim to the land of palestine when theyre all european, but logic doesnt matter with these people.
