Was Buying a Jeep a Mistake?

Cracked oil filter housing, worn out clutch, and some broken pulleys. Thankfully Disciple Offroad was able to quickly get me back on the road.

Throw out bearings are pretty easy if you are moderately mechanically inclined. Remove both drive stafts, remove transfer case, remove exhaust pipe that crosses over to the right side of the jeep, drop transmission I would replace the clutch too its super easy to do once you have to transmission out. I would replace it with a centerforce clutch because you are probably overloading your jeep over from what it was rated for.

Totally agree with the clutch as well. Unfortunately I think that would quickly surpass my capabilities!

Man. Putting at pulley wheel in the gear kit is so smart. My Jeeps at 70K but you never know when something like that is going to hit.

100%! Definitely makes me think about what other things I should add to the kit.

Save up and get a centerforce clutch kit, with the heavier flywheel ((makes it harder to stall)) It's amazing. Also get a throw out bearing retainer for they are known to wear out.
