Sorry, I forgot to record the game settings and the gun/loadout setup. However, the game settings are the same as the those in this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/q2VlqrSQacfLgNo.html So this is just another video to show how good DeX mode is when running Peak graphics in Warzone Mobile. This is actually the hardest map to render out of all the maps on Warzone Mobile and is even more taxing than Verdansk in the Battle Royale main map. You may notice that the frame rate is really smooth at the start of the game, it’s essentially hitting 60FPS for most of the time. However, later into the game and also during explosions and during heavy combat you may notice that the frame rate is a bit choppy and isn’t a smooth 60FPS. This is because, as I’ve already said, for whatever reason, this map is the hardest to render. Maybe it needs more optimisation? However, it may be due to heat build up, the longer the game plays and this was already an hour into a long gaming session. Plus, there were a lot of explosions and the action was really high for most of this game, especially from the middle of the game to the end and all that action definitely puts stress on the rendering and therefore the frame rate. However and none the less. The one thing that this gameplay definitely shows you is just how good the render detail of the game is, regardless of the frame rate. Having played loads in DeX mode and mirroring mode I can definitely say that DeX mode does a higher render quality of the game and the resolution and detail seem to be a bit higher as well. This map is NOT harder to render than Verdansk, Dave. This map is tiny and has no players. This map has no long sight lines either. Everything is occluded. The buildings are only 2 stories. This map doesn't break my S23 FE. None of the multiplayer maps are stressful.

​@@Mike5GSR Alright, Mike. It's definitely harder to render on the S24 Ultra in Peak graphics. On Verdansk I'm getting a consistently higher frame rate. I get what you are saying that there are way more assets and detail in Verdansk, this is why I suggested that it may need optimisation for this map. All the other multiplayer maps are noticeably higher frame rates, as you would expect. I've only noticed this since Peak was added to the Android stuff. There's also a lot of explosions and larger numbers of players moving in close proximity to the action on the small maps, which all adds up as well for the rendering. I'll have to see what the iPhone and iPad do, maybe it's a Snapdragon thing? Cheers, Dave.

Hi. If you swipe down from the top on your home seen, you should see DeX in the menu option, or you’ll find it in the main settings. It only works if you’re connected to a monitor or TV. Cheers, Dave.

Yes it’s mad 🤪 At first glance it would be easy to mistake the graphics for a low end PC or console. It definitely is not what you’d expect from a phone. Even the graphics resolution and rendering in the distance, the mountains, are rendering with some detail in them. These usually look like a bit of a blurred mess. Imagine what the graphics on phones are going to be like in a few years time 🤣Cheers, Dave.

Yes, it’s still the same. It’s not so bad on these multiplayer maps because there’s no buy stations to navigate. For these games I just disconnect the controller when on the main menu, use the mouse to select the game mode and start it and then re-connect the controller before the game starts. If you don’t reconnect the controller before the game starts, the controller won’t work in the game. It’s still a pain but it does work. With my RedMagic phone I don’t have to do this, as the controller and mouse work at the same time. Although, I still have to navigate the buy station with the mouse on the RedMagic as the controller does not work properly in the buy station, I think that’s actually a Warzone Mobile issues and not a hardware issue. I have also used the S24 Ultra to play the same game, but it felt very laggy. I have also activated "performance profile" but it doesn't help. (All condition mentioned is for DEX mode only, while play in phone it is very snooth). Maybe you have experienced this before, so i can try your method.

Hi. I’m not actually doing anything special and I don’t use the game optimisation, I just use DeX and launch the game as standard (no gaming hub, no game booster). However, if I use mirroring mode the performance is not as good as it is in DeX. Cheers, Dave.

HI. I basically put all the settings on full, with vertical slightly lower at about 80-90%. Even so, I still don't get the speed I want for things like fast turning etc. This is where touch players have the advantage as controller players will never be able to turn and react as quickly. However, there are also advantages with controller, so it evens out between the two. I'm terrible with touch, so no matter what issues I have with controller play, it's still the best option for me personally. It's also strange that with Warzone on console, PS5 etc. you get way faster speeds on controller. Cheers, Dave.

Hi. Looking at the capture and doing frame advance in my video editing software, the average FPS is about 50 or so, although it does hit 60 and drops below 40 at times. For whatever reason, on the S24 Ultra this is the hardest map to render. There’s more detail in the description 👍 Cheers, Dave.

Hi. I'm doing a few like what you've suggested. I have just done one with the RedMagic 9 pro using un-capped FPS and it plays at about 120FPS as long as the settings are low. I'm also doing a S24 Ultra one which is basically the same. I'll do a couple where the graphics are on high and the FPS set to un-locked and see what the frame rate is like, they will likely be done later on in the week 👍 Cheers, Dave.

@@KevinMuldoon Alright, Kevin. I’m constantly blown away by some of the graphics that come out of this phone. I’m not sure why but when in DeX mode some of the games render out better and at slightly higher resolutions compared to the usual mirroring mode. Plus DeX can output with upscaled 4K and it can also do the proper computer ultra wide aspect ratio, it’s mad. Here’s something I done on an A90 5G a while back. The A90 was the only Samsung phone outside of the S series that had DeX (It’s usually only certain S series phones and tabs that do it). I think this phone is now about 6 or 7 years old kzread.info/dash/bejne/pICqw7SdYrmYnNY.htmlsi=pVfv_HHlzZI9h-PA Yes, I would always go for the higher rate. However, this example was to show what the render quality and resolution looked like in Peak graphics in High resolution. Also, for some strange reason this map is noticeably harder to render on the S24 Ultra (maybe even Android in general). Using High quality and High resolution still looks great, especially in DeX mode, but gets a constant 60FPS almost constantly on an any map. It’s also impressive that DeX is doing all this while up scaling to 4K/60. Conversely, the RedMagic also has output resolution settings for HDMI. If set to 1080 and using the low to medium settings, this thing will actually do 120FPS for most of the map. I'm going to try and set things on my iPad within the next few weeks. Been so busy with work that I've not had a chance. Will pick ups new battery pack and connect it up. No, DeX can't run at 120Hz in 4K, it's a limitation of its HDMI output specification. Cheers, Dave.

@@TheGameThing Actually, you can. There's a tweak in good lock. I think it's in home up or something but it does allow 120hz output. It doesn't work without it though. I've used it and confirmed it outputs 120hz when plugged into my portable monitor.

@@MobileDecay None of the Samsung Galaxy devices have the bandwidth over USB to do 4K/120, so it’s physically impossible to get 4K/120. I use Good Lock and there is no 4K/120 option. Are you sure you don’t mean 1080/120? What interface or cable are you using to connect to your monitor/TV?

@@MobileDecay Hi. I thought so. It can do 1080/120, I’ll do a video showing that soon, my Ninja V can record that. It may be able to do 1440/120 but I can’t record that with the Ninja V as it only does 720, 1080 and 4K, no 1440. The big problem with DeX, unlike the desktop mode on the RedMagic 9 Pro, is that you can’t select the refresh rate in DeX. The RedMagic can even do 1080/240 and 1440/144, although none of the games will do those frame rates. Cheers, Dave.

@@genlongtsang1093 Yes, it’s weird. If you check my other videos I also play on the iPhone 15 Pro Max and it’s not as good as the S24 Ultra in DeX mode either. My iPhone overheats to easily and the frame rate tanks as the processor gets thermally throttled. I do play with a cooling fan on all my devices, as they all heat up with this game, but the iPhone is noticeably the worst for overheating. Also, neither the iPhone 15 Pro Max or M4 iPad Pro will do 60FPS with Peak graphics but both the S24 Ultra and RecMagic 9 Pro will. Although, the M4 iPad Pro does have the best resolution and render quality, even if it doesn’t do 60FPS in Peak. Cheers, Dave.
