I’m just saying, the bots shouldn’t be able to shoot through concrete barriers and train cars w X-ray vision. When you’re in a stronghold or doing a secure weapons stash, even when there’s no ai you will get smoke bomb spammed into oblivion. The bots are sprinting and diving into cover. Feels more like a zombie game

Then there's the times you run into like 8 of them spawning 5 meters in front of you, and despite you spraying a whole mag their way in your retreat, they don't move, go for cover, dive, etc. They just stand there and absorb bullets while they all focus fire on you.

Stonghold is exactly that though, AI is put on high alert you're taking their building. Shooting through concrete is a thing in the real world, train cars etc no but I've never experienced at any time I couldn't hide from AI when not doing a mission. Now take into account hackers are out there, don't exit your game when you die. Scroll through the remaining players stream and watch, full on wall hacks and aimbots already functional.

The bot difficulty would be perfect if it wasn't for the fact that they clearly are being lazy with their implementation. The bots spawn near you, they rush you with pinpoint omnipotence, they see you and shoot you through smoke and structures, and they also specifically use their omnipotence to sprint to you when you are plating or reloading

I think they could fix a lot by simply having a fairly big "no spawn" bubble around each player, so you never get attacked by bots coming from nowhere. That or eliminate them spawning on foot entirely, all reinforcement via vehicle after the start of the match.

I have noticed the ai are starting to get harder and also that ai starts dropping in via parachute and towards the end before the radiation moves the ai around extractions is crazy

Ai parachute out of the planes constantly throughout the match. The reason you might notice them less some games is those planes are one of the things Sam sites destroy to drop loot crates So if people are going hard on Sam's you'll see less ai than usual

Facts my squad once thought a team of bots at extraction was a trio of players due to the way they were moving and fighting but it only took like 6 bullets from 55.6+P tuned ammo and they pass away. Btw after fully upgrading a weapon you can tune everything on your weapon that has a small gear in the left corner of the attachments

Hey Westie, been an avid follower for quite some time all the way from SA. DMZ is great fun, comical and brutal all at once. Spent a huge amount of time searching for a gpu some time ago. Some time after completing the mission I found 2 gpu's randomly in the same round! Anyway, keep up the content dude. Always great fun watching you and the boys.

I think the AI need a nerf and agree that they're way too powerful to the point that they're taking a lot of fun from the game, especially while playing solos in DMZ. I know it's a new game and it's still in Beta so I hope it progresses in the right direction. Appreciate the video @westie. Peace ✌️

It depends. For me it's ok. There has to be some threat of losing your stuff, even if it's to AI. It's also designed for a trio, and a trio can take care of AI much easier than as a duo. You have to play against the AI differently too. I've also managed solo though and If you're on the regain, there's some areas you just have to not go in with a 1 plate unless you're really good at taking out AI. I think for me the AI is fine how it is at the moment, otherwise it would be too easy. Just takes a bit of tactics and learning some of the location spawns (some just keep spawning if there's no players fighting each other, some locations they seem to hold off spawning for a bit while there's players engaging)

@Westie I think it would be cool if there were some longer contracts that allow you to expand your base (basically have more slots available for extra contraband and ability store some other items you exfil with in your backpack. Eg. If you wanted to store max 1x extra 2plate vest as a backup, or a box of armour piercing rounds etc) To stop it being OP on storage long term, they could have it so if you die and people exfil with your tags, you lose 1 of these extra slots each time until you're back to the minimum default slots, and the team that wipes you takes whatever contraband was in that slot (maybe the slot could be red so you know which one you might lose) Only the player that takes your dog tag would be able to raid your stash, so no way of losing 3 items to a whole team that wipes yours. Thoughts? Just think it would add a bit more value to some of the contracts other than just progressing through. I have quite a few ideas. Maybe I should spam their Twitter account, not that they would actually listen to any of course 😆

Perhaps your intermission screen should be a loop of the lobby screen so stream snipers won’t be able tell if you’ve entered the lobby or not…or a montage of snippets of you spawning in at the various spawn points

Love this stuff! You and Stod are great! I'll watch every one of these from start to end. The end of the game when Stod died on the wing of the chopper was epic! Go big or go home!

With no Resurgence maps available, DMZ is currently my favorite mode, but man the “player kicked” crashes/hack makes it thoroughly unenjoyable at times

I recorded AI magically appearing on a roof I was flanking them from. There was only way way up there and I had that covered. They spawned on the roof from a corner that had no ladder or door. Two shots and they downed me. Luckily I had enough time to crawl over to their corner to see how they got there.... Magic

DMZ possibly should be a FPS RPG Mode of the game to keep player interested more in it

Watching you guys I suddenly feel a lot better about not having got all the tier 2 white lotus and faction missions quite finished yet. They really need to change the boys some. If you get in pvp fight half the time the random ai do half the damage to you or them.

Me and my friends are Team Hunters, we kill other teams no matter if they're solo, duo, or trio and we prioritize this over our missions. As much as of a buzzkill as we are; stream snipers are a whole nother type of scum.

So many say WZ 2.0 is bad, but few say why, so I have no idea why, because I like it!

Yeah nice having them harder does make for some crazy situations especially if another team get involved, Might need some more tuning though. One thing i noticed, Bot was shooting on me directly through walls even when i moved, so i died and couldn't revive my teammates. Dirty hacker ai.

@Cavan Cheong i do that wen my weapon store is low! I think u get better loot chance wen u go in with nothing. I can usually get 2 weapons, med backpack and 2 plate vest, within 5 or so mins of looting!

When you said, "I don't like to say this on stream but..." about the stream sniper, I felt that. Those kinds of people ruin games.

Spotting scope is your friend, you look through your weapon scopes all the time but rarely have to stim. Chat recommended alot i noticed, for good reason.

I completely agree with both of you about mathematics I really only use up to grade 9 math which includes adding subtracting, multiplication division. That’s it no calculus no geometry none of that damn crap where AB minus CD equals FG.

You have to sell the dog tags at buy station so the team can't bring him back.

It’s hard enough with how tough ai is, some missions are crazy hard add that to getting shot by real teams it’s important to team up with other teams or proxy chat so they don’t shot you if you both are doing missions. Had like 12 guys all running around switching teams to exfill I ended up alone and just got out with the 10 streak intact so did the others. I only eliminate teams if they don’t talk or they are not cool in switching teams. One guy dies his team could join yours to make super teams, why not? ai is to good

I got killed twice by bots respawn around me right after I landed by parachute from a skyscraper and a tower.

Imagine if they made DMZ zombies😮

Through its getting harder, I wish it has 2 types of mode: skirmish and battle Skirmish is where the entire lobby is bots only Where battle is traditional dmz PvPvE

I was enjoying these missions and doing them solo but this GPU has me beat. No more DMZ for me.

I don't think AI needs a nerf as much as it needs tuning. Hi-tilt AI when pushing a stronghold or restricted area make all the sense in the world. Aggressive AI response when doing a contract? Perfectly understandable. AI randomly spawning in force, fully armored, when you're just minding your business or traversing the map? A little much. Also doesn't help that they are completely psychic, which is incredibly irritating. The only ones that should know exactly where you are are those you're in combat with or those that gain line of site while you're in combat with other AI. AI popping in and immediately being able to tag you through the 120cuft of smoke they drop all the time is unnecessarily tilting. Also doesn't help that the amount of damage they take at higher tiers is complete nonsense. Even piling on headshots, they live way too long considering you have to deal with several of them at the same time.

When I was in school my sister gave me my best idea, I put the times table on my door and just looked at it every morning. It helped me and I became quite good at counting

I don’t see real people that much… the bots are way harder than a lot of the people I run into. I’ve been wiped by a squad multiple times of course but still. I get clapped by bots way more often than actual players

Don't stand in one place fighting bots, move ASAP after making noise. The only gunfire on the map is players and bots exchanging fire, so if you want to kill a team it isn't hard to hunt one down.

It depends how much you do or don't move around, and how much time you spend shooting AI at the start, plus the locations you head to. Some contracts are to kill players in certain areas, so they can get player heavy too. Others are teams that purely go out of their way to hunt other teams at spawn areas or when they hear gunfire. I've had games where we've wiped 3 teams coming up on our spawn in the first 10mins (and vice versa), others I've had a whole game of going round the entire map doing contracts without coming across a single player. Some games you'll catch teams on the regain who purposefully avoid conflict, get their stuff and exfil early.and you never see them. It's kind of random and I think that's why casual players are probably enjoying it more than BR sweat lobbies

Whenever I hear gunshots, and my team and I didn’t fire, I find where it is and move away from there. Means players are there. Another one is the reinforcement helicopters, they only come when players are near by so if you see them it means a team is near

Nope. AI was changed in Dec. AI I think can change without the player getting an update. Guns I think the player has to update the game. Only update was today with a playlist update.

AI def got a buff recently for some reason

I think the bots have been doing drugs, the regulars are easy to kill, just a headshot and they are gone, but with the fucken armoured bots it really feels like they have a 10 plate armor vest on or something, honestly I dumped my entire mag of a 75 round machine gun, I hit about 30 of those shots, and mf still wasn’t dead, like the fucking what? Dude was actually a main character AI or something Memes

You can talk to the lobby. You can talk to your squad only. So when you get close to a player that isn't in your team. Talk to them. If they talk back see if you can be chill.

Remove them completely and put a few more real squads in. Or aren't there enough people playing it?

As a console player all I will say is my game is constantly crashing on DMZ. They have to address it

It might but it's good to have as a backup. Plus you can do a few rounds pushing for cash only to massively cut down on the timer.

4 hour cooldown for 2nd slot 6 hour cooldown for 3rd Time off for extracting or dead dropping cash seems to apply to all 3 slots not just one

There was no reason to take the weapon case to final exfil. You guys knew there were players left 🤦‍♂️. Alot of hard lessons learnt in this game lol. Great gameplay and that you guys keep the faith and keep at it doing your things 💪🏽

As much as I want to fall in love with the DMZ mode the AI absolutely ruin it every match I would rather face teams of actual players than the overpowered to the point of being glitched AI.... made the AI 10 times stronger than any pro player with laser beam accuracy at 500 M haha dumb

you want them to fix the game lol i mean the AI have been fooked for ages and they don't care that's why its been left like it is otherwise it would of been fixed ages ago, i mean making it free really messed this game up, do you think they care about the free part of the game :-( it may get fixed at some point (fingers crossed) but it's obviously not high up on there list of things to do

I love how I can scout an area for 2-3 minutes. See and hear absolutely nothing. And get head shot from a shotgun four miles away AND get swarmed by an entire division within 3 steps of where I literally just spent a few minutes staring at to ensure it's safe. I'm going to delete this game and start a mass campaign to end the entire franchise as a whole. Doesn't matter if I'm solo or in a team. 3 plates are useless with surgical accuracy from close quarter weapons as if they were top tier snipers and who needs a gas mask if you get swarmed simply for being on the map. This game is crap

There is enough stupid people on this game mode without some stream sniping .

I can't believe stream sniping is even a thing. Only the weakest of the week would even attempt such a coward move

I think its pretty funny. A change of gameplay :) And yes its not fair but the streamers getting 100s of hours of experience is also not fair.

Im really conflicted with you teaming up with stodeh. I like your tactical playstyle as a duo.. But communication and content is lacking to say the least. Often you are just speaking out in the air with no reply. If it frustrates me I can't imagine how you must feel. I like your content though, and love the streams
