Great work guys. Love this approach. As a hgv driver myself it drives me crazy that drivers priority is not driving carefully. The amount of truckers that I see on phones and talking on the phone when they can get a Bluetooth headset to answer phones for £15. Should be 12 month ban, it's worse that drink driving.

I agree, but 12 months is not enough. Years ago 12 months used to be average ban, but in recent years that's been creeping up, 18 months, 2 years. No, these people need proper bans to finally ram the message home, i propose 2 or even 3 years bans. And when they do get their licence back insurance companies will crucify them.

Fellow motorists have to share the roads with these selfish idiots.Sensible driving requires 100% concentration yet these individuals seem to think the road is there for them to carry on phoning, checking social media and getting map directions as they please.A six months ban and a re-taking of the driving test would be a good deterrent for starters.Second offence a three year driving ban and having to pass an extended driving test this time.Third offence should be a lifetime driving ban. That's the only message these people understand.

There is a reason why that van is in lane 2...... the reason is he doesn't or didn't learn the rules of the road he is driving on. Been in this situation many times and in a hgv I just drive passed them on the left, however when I pulled into services a police car "politely" told me that was undertaking, I told him to go away and learn what undertaking is. I wasn't undertaking, I was travelling in lane 1 doing 55 mph. Never once went into lane two after I had passed. By that policeman's own logic nothing can go passed anything that is on the fast lane, so in heavy slow traffic everyone has to stay behind the lane 3 guy, it doesn't make sense. The policeman wasn't a big traffic cop

We got pulled on the A20 after doing the uphill out of Dover. The outside lane was doing around 35 mph with some stopping and starting. Our lane was clear, apart from trucks and cars pulling into our lane to do what we were doing. ! We were doing 40 mph. (very old Talbot motorhome!) Got pulled at the next junction after the downhill stretch and told we were undertaking. He was very nice about it and just wanted to warn me, but I had done nothing wrong. I must add, we were following quite a few trucks doing what we were. I asked if I had to stop every time the outside lane stopped, he said no. But I said, then I would be undertaking? He again said no! So if I am undertaking by keeping in my lane when the others were slower, how can I not be undertaking by keeping going when the outside lane stopped? He had no answer, smiled and got back in his car.

I drive 3k miles a week from Coventry to Glasgow and back each weekday evening, and the amount of people sitting in the middle lane at 60 to 65 mph is unreal, at least 2 Accidents a day that i hear of and guaranteed to be someone moving from lane 2 very late to get off motorway at whichever junction they need, but in doing so cutting up a HGV or other vehicle thus causing an Accident, problem is the government can't be bothered to educate people about the safety of driving on our motorways, sometimes people need to be brainwashed to be more safety conscious in life, sorry for being blunt but something needs to be done

Ban them for 5 years, massive fines AND fine the companies transport manager. Enoughs enough.

Part of the problem is that phone use whilst driving is prevalent in films and TV as well as the driver turning their head to talk to the passenger. This needs to stop. Driving in films is usually done with the vehicle on a towed "dolly" so doesn't require the same concentration. Next time you watch a driving scene, count how many seconds the driver isn't looking at what is going on in front of them! Apply that to real roads and they'd be dead quite quickly. We definitely need more of this type of detection on our roads. Keep it up!

Just undertake them while you give them an evil glance as you go past or a shake of the head. Undertaking is not illegal, as long as its not done recklessly like cutting in and out of traffic, there is no need to cut across into the fast lane, overtake, then all the way back across again. Unless like me, you do that also to try and basically say, "hey fucker, move over" 😆

I have regularly encountered selfish lazy individuals in the early hours on an almost empty 4 lane section of the M25 driving in lane 2 or 3 at less than the limit, so when I come along in lane 1 at a steady cruise controlled 70 am I expected to indicate and change from lane 1 to lane 4 in order to pass and then return to lane 1 or just carry on in lane 1 and not disturb them. In several cases the vehicles have been licenced taxis who should know better, and I have often wondered if they do this to save themselves the trouble of changing lane if they do happen to come across a slower vehicle.Having watched this video I now realise that they might be watching a video themselves and obvoiusly don't want disturbing. I think better use could be made of the matrix signs instead of telling how long it will take to get to another junction, how about reminding the selfish bastards to "KEEP LEFT EXCEPT WHEN OVERTAKING"

This is one way of dealing with a problem, but Warwickshire police should also be looking at how dangerous National Highways are themselves. I did over 66,000 miles this past year and when you see the stupid variable speed limit giving false information as well as the lies on the overhead gantry you have to say that driving on the road is far more dangerous because of National Highways than the odd driver using a mobile phone. In fact I have rang National Highways in the past and accused them of having blood on their hands because, for the driver the roads are much safer by reading the road than trusting the lies from National Highways. This is an organisation that has made the road so dangerous that they need to be shut down with immediate effect.

Right! You’re a tad wrong on so many levels:- 1) The recording is for evidence! 2) The radio messages are to a marked patrol car a little way back to tug the offender! 3) When stopped, the offender will likely be shown the footage (I’m unsure of this but am presuming the same protocol as with a speed gun), before then being issued a Traffic Offence Report! Pretty sure each suspect in this is by the time of release, an offender, not a suspect, as the case will have been completed and the relevant punishment issued by the courts.
