The left index is my favorite but they all turned out beautifully. I do like the right hand too. Doing an accent nail is a really smart way to use a technique or design that’s complicated, difficult, busy or time consuming. You get to show off your skills (no one will know if it took 11 tries to get the index finger right) and it’s a very intentional look. No one is going to think “why didn’t you finish?”. I recommend anyone struggling with watermarbling (or anything) practice on the index finger. When you get it right, seal it up with topcoat (smudge proof or wait until it’s dry enough to not smudge), paint the other nails & take a pic to show off or just remind yourself you CAN do it. Like any other art form, some people have more natural talent than others but anyone can develop the skills with practice, patience & persistence.

Very pretty! I love water marble. Haven’t tried it yet, but I love the look! Your birds must be having quite the feast with all those cicadas! I think I would be creeped out by them…

The old sweet & sour lacquer neons were fabulous watermarbling. I still morn the loss of Tara not doing polish anymore. Ooh I'll have to try the scoop for tie dye. Fun. My Lou doesnt like the cicada noise but love to attack them.

Thank you for this. I just got a water marble tool and was trying this out. It is definitely challenging. Also, I am sooo jealous of how many hummingbirds you have! I keep trying to attract more each year... I have 7 feeders spread out all around my house.

I like the look of watermarble but haven’t tried it yet. Mostly out of lack of time. All I’ve been able to do is squirrel away a medicine cup so that if I get the time I’ll be ready. Do love watching you do it though. Im hoping that maybe I’ll pick up the skill easier if I watch you do it a lot 😆

I don't currently hate watermarble, I'm intimidated by it as I don't have a great area or polishes to get successful ones from the times I've tried. I'm currently hating trying to make sharpie alcohol inks work and failing. I'm so frustrated 😂

I saw a cool trick. Someone did some art or something and they used liquid latex for the peel off base coat! One drop of oil and it came right off!

Why did Tara stop making polish? At least I can use stamping plates that have a water marble like design to make something pretty. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

wartermarbeling? I prefer watermarbling 😂🤣😂. I really don’t know if it’s one word or two. I live in Washington & there’s a weird accent that is fairly common among older boomers who, according to linguists, immigrated from the Midwest during the depression. They add an “r” to “wa” words. I don’t hear “warter” very often but I have. I think most noticeable is “warsh” instead of “wash”, particularly because it’s Washington state. I had a middle school science teacher who always said “warshington”. It drove me crazy enough to look into the linguistic studies. I don’t remember if it’s common in the Midwest or the result of a clash of Midwest-PNW colloquial vernacular at the time but I do find it interesting.
