Here is our second annual Summer History Camp! The overarching theme this year was the outdoors, fishing, trapping, hunting. Kids learned how to start fires like Native Americans and Pioneers as well as trapping they did. They also learned about archery and the importance of the bow in this area. Fishing on Lake of the Woods was always important and the kids learned about different fish and how people fished. They also learned about how people used to make their own boats in town. Lastly the kids learned about Government Island and Hospital Bay on a canoe trip that was topped with a fish fry and ice cream!
