Same thing here... When this LP came out my friend and I bought it from four blocks away and we got home faster than lightning to listen to it.

Manowar....Still awesome decades later.

Like a few others I have seen commenting here, I was 16 in 1988 and listening to this band takes me back to the same spirits I had back then! Hail to the Kings Of Metal!

The most astonishing and magnificent thing about this epic heavy metal/power metal battle at the end of it is the amount of depth and grandiosity the Canoldir Male choir evokes on the chorus (not only on this song but on Heart of Steel and Kingdom Come). Also brings a very regal overtone in addition to the sophisticated English accents of the Grandfather and his Grandson.

Gänsehaut, war vor ca. 35 Jahren auf einem Konzert in Berlin und habe nun für Anfang nächsten Jahres wieder Karten, Vorfreude ist riesig!

Played these to my Son in the car. Back in the day you could ask "Who were they?" and he would reply "they were the Metal Kings! wahhhhh!".

I love this track

I like death metal and thrash metal. But Manowar, Helloween, Mercyful Fate and King Diamond are only bands outside of death/thrash that I love.
