I like that when Saltspyre duel-wields hammers, he holds one near the bottom of the handle and the other near the head. Allowing him the best of both worlds. One for greater power, one for greater control. All for Sigmar and the Empire!

Saltzpyre just walked into Bardins room, stole his Dual Hammers, praised Sigmar, and left

Yeah. I think it was milkandcookiesTW that said "it would be better to sacrifice being correct with lore, for the sake of adding something cool and fun" It'll get boring to use hammers only, especially given no range weapons and class is support :/

My favourite part is that Saltzy is literally the only person that cares about Sigmar in the room: the elf and dwarf have their own gods, at most they have moderate respect for Sigmar, Siena is a heretic and the last person is a Grail Knight, a holy champion of The Lady.

Impressive array of new weapons. Of course the shield + weapon things are mostly reused from other classes but they're still a cool addition to use with the new melee only class. You get a few shield options. Two true new weapons. Gonna have fun decimating the heretics in chaos wastes.

flail and shield is entirely new.

Man that Prayer of Might (25% stagger power) Works very well with Grail knight in Party who is wielding a bretonian heavy shield. I have build where I continuously bash and stagger/stun lock enemies (even the Chaos berserkers and elites) without dropping 7 shield stamina, however those plague rats were still problem this solves that quite nice :D

From what I've seen of people trying to Solo with him, he struggles alot. His damage is low so he really struggle with specials. Gets over run quickly

Love that you added his into scene.

Hammer and blessed tome is a really cool weapon but weird to use ingame, doesn't fill any role that well.

Its ability to store charge attacks might make it good for killing something on reaction, like say sudden immobilizing specials or elites hiding around corners.

Seems like versatility is the idea, the charge attack could be useful for getting out of bad spots, the downward smash seems to have decent power vs hordes, and the light attacks are enough to fill the gap. I think the Vermintide community focuses too much on roles, when a lot of careers and weapons are designed around blending between the traditional ideas of Tank, Support and Damage. Seems like thinking about the game in a way contrary to how it's designed.

@@archiebudge1821 i mean I used to use handgun on Outcast engie before switching to grudge raker cuz i found i was using my minigun to kill specials and hordes, so the handgun didn't see much use, so i switched to grudge raker to have a "get off me" tool which outcast engie doesn't really have, but combine that with just how damn good the coghammer is? it covers your weaknesses, and it's nice, I personally like having weapons that cover my class's weaknesses, as a bardin and saltzpyre player, I like weapons with versatility.

​@@nexusthenormie5578 coghammer doesn't help fact Bardin is short and not mobile. You get stabed easly when you're not fighting alongside someone else. For me Pickaxe works better. Will try the G-Raker, tho. AFTER I'M DONE WITH 1000 headshots xD

Good video. If you didn't know the Zealot (and only the Zealot) can use his hammer weapons, minus the shield and tome versions.

yee i think everything save the greathammer pulls animations, or even just the entire weapon, from existing stuff. The greathammer is the fancy new original weapon, the rest are to bulk it out and give him more options (cus saltz had the fewest melee weapons in the game short of sienna, iirc, not v good for an all melee class)

It has a shield bash string in it's basic combo like the Bret Sword and board, Makes it amazing vs horde, since you don't need to have shields up to shield bash

@@superbuck90 nah, that's the flail and shield. That's an interesting defensive option, as it has both a shield bash in the lights moveset and block on charge attacks. I was talking about the hammer and shield.

No. Hammer and tome and flail shield seem to be the highest and it's not much. It's kinds like footknight boss damage. It's his one weakness. He can solo sv pats EASY with flail and shield, insane against hordes, great support and tanks. He's going to be a top tier class but not sister. He doesn't do EVERYTHING and does have weaknesses.

@@dramaticmudderer5208 Never complained about him not having boss damage. I think its a good thing. If I were going to complain about anything, it would be how trivial the moonfire, corescation, sister, and trollhammer have made this game. Horrible last two DLC's. This new class is 10/10.

You won't feel so broken when you realize that all the specials lurking on the outskirts of the fight have to be handled by teammates. You always feel weirdly unprotected. Fun class I'm loving it so far. C'mon Fatshark, you couldn't put ONE non spammable charged range "smite a target" in your hammer/book moveset for WP?? (Hold button choose target outline) Aside from that glaring problem, it's fun. (I mean even Slayer has a throwing axe) With all the trapping special enemies the game likes to throw at us, another "melee only" build is disappointing.

The zealot can use the reckoner great hammer, the skull splitter alone, and the two skull splitters together. Can’t use the skull splitter and tome, the skull splitter and shield, or the shield and flail on zealot. And whc and bounty hunter get nothing.

in my opinion, this new career is a bit off track. No agility no high damage no good ultimate I would say is a mixture of bad foot knight and very bad Grailknight this career miss some speed or emergency ultimate or what against specials idk I don't like him. just useless
