That’s probably the most expressive interview by Warren Beatty you’ll see. A smart guy. Well done.

Yeah, that’s probably true. However for Beatty, a famously reticent interview, it’s thoughtful and revealing. Barbara Walters called him the worst interview subject in her career. Rolling Stone did a whole story simply on how long his pauses were. But you’re right, he definitely rehearsed his answers.
He had done his research, that's for sure. One of the great movies. Sums up the era.
Great find...
I remember it was a funny movie
Classic 70s really inflected it worked on a black comic level as well. Goldie Hawn in the shortest mini skirt. 😂 A social ensemble ( Bracket with the Long Goodbye/ 5 Easy Pieces)

not really, wrong hairdresser, the character in Shampoo is based on Jon Peters who ran a celebrity salon on Rodeo Drive, one of his clients was Barbara Streisand who became his girlfriend and with all the connections he made in the film business he changed career and became a very successful film producer, he was Beatty's inspiration for his character in Shampoo.
Well, this interview just serves to prove the point that Warren Beatty is just another typical, run-of-the-mill, airhead Hollywood actor who dabbles in producing films.
