Yeah but the thing is today whenever it happens the players think, "we're not fuckin having these physical treatments", and they'll end up seeing the manager off, a lot like what happened to Paolo Di Canio at Sunderland a few years back. You've gotta have a stature like Mourinho does to manage like that. The only way to manage nowadays is to mollycoddle players.

Great lower league manager so many promotions , I like his passion but why has he such a bad record in the top flight he can't keep his promoted team up , Notts county , Sheffield United, QPR , Cardiff even palace struggled when he was there mid season, I know he did not take QPR down but again struggled , Cardiff beat my team Brighton and still went down

He build a good team with Sheffield United but only half were good enough to play in the prem. Cardiff they over achieved. But didn't spend until January buying sala when they were thick in a relegation. battle. Other than qpr never really had the backing
