I started building my 430+ title 360 library over 4 years ago, and I can tell you firsthand that the selection is already down and prices are significantly up from where they were then. If I had to start building my collection at today's prices, affording it would be a vastly more expensive endeavor. To me, the 7th gen was the sweet spot for gaming in that the visuals, single player games, and online components were all quality. In my opinion, the graphics of 360 and PS3 still hold up incredibly well, and the games as a whole were superior to most being made today. I have several 360 consoles because, as you said, they don't last forever. I would recommend anyone who is serious about owning a 360 pay an expert, unless they are skilled enough to do the job themselves, to apply new thermal paste to the cpu/gpu and place a new belt in the optical drive to ensure they get the most life out the old beast. Oh, and that Halo 4 edition 360 is the sexiest console ever, in my humble opinion.

Careful with the thermal paste bruh, its a myth that it fixes heating issues. Its literally a roll of the die but respect to you for building that library. Happy gaming

Only collect the stuff your passionate about and want to collect for. Don't collect for something because someone told you you "need" to. So many times we see people buy things and ask themselves why did I buy this only to ditch it for less then what they put into it. Don't do it.

I'm currently building up my Xbox 360 collection and it's coming up nicely! I bought Spec Ops the Line last july on Mercari for $18.07 before it got delisted from digital stores, so I scored there!!

Great advice i have 3 backups but try to keep them maintained

Got my 360 stuff last year. I also recommend people get a modded 360 to have access to all of the delisted content.

Was lucky enough to get ultimate alliance gold edition online for GameStop cib for only $30. Goes in and out of stock, but it's still possible to get a good deal on that! Just double check they send the actual gold edition disc and not the vanilla copy

The Last Remnant just had a remaster not too long ago so I doubt it'd go up but pretty much everything else i agree with. Who knows though. I've seen weirder shit become valuable lol.

I Started collecting more for 360 last year... but apparently I gotta step my game up.

I wonder if we will still be able to purchase some 360 games on the Series X or if they are removing that as well. I’ve recently purchased a few on the Series X. Hopefully they will continue with the backwards compatibility that they currently support. Thanks for the update.

I think the 360 and the original Xbox games that were made backwards compatible I believe will be still available on the Xbox One and Xbox Series storefronts. Maybe they will make more backwards compatible later on, but I’m sure there are no plans at the moment. I’m glad I was able to get some Forza games that were on the 360 (except for Horizon 2) when I did.

I am sure there are some games I haven’t played that I might like, but I too have a backlog so it’ll be difficult to pinpoint what I want to get next. There are so many games, and I keep discovering games from many retro console I never knew existed like finding Lock ‘n Chase for the Gameboy. That was a crazy find at my local used bookstore (not that half priced chain lol) which did blow my mind.

It’s interesting to see the 360 stuff go up in values. I’ve passed on so much of it at yard sales over the years because a lot of it just was t worth collecting. Luckily I still have my personal 360 collection.

I started really collecting last year and have seen since then prices jump a lot on several games. Culdcept saga, spec ops the line, darkest of days, etc. all have at least doubled in price from 1 year ago. Just got a copy of the Simpsons for $30 from somebody on FB and I think that one will go up soon. Blue dragon because of toriyamas passing. Prices are starting to jump.

I never got rid of any of my 360 stuff, the trade values were so low that I thought it was stupid of someone to clean out their entire 360 collection and still owe money for an xbox series x. I still play my 360's to this day. (I have 2)

Gun is another gem by Activision and the 360 had the best console port. It is not backwards compatible.

Wright, how about the 360 arcade library? plus the indie content? Worth a look before shutdown.

I agree now is the time to get them. I love that most Thrift Stores have great 360 games for dirt cheap. Yeah, you need sports games but only the good and fun arcade games like Blitz the League 1&2, Fifa Street, SSX, Fight Night Campion, UFC Undisputed 2010, and the Skate series.

Never knew how many twin packs and triple packs were made across Xbox and Playstation consoles. Never knew 2K had a triple collection.

Started collecting this legendary games again when this year started, im really into it now :D

As a PlayStation player since the ps2 I have just in the past month boughten a 360 and have played gears of wars which I enjoyed a lot, also purchased halo but haven’t played yet. Any exclusives under $20 that are a must own for Xbox collectors

I got a Xbox 360 slim for 125 SEK like 12 USD so cheap and it works! I gonna get the exclusive JRPGs on there soon.

I started my collection a few weeks ago, I currently have 3 Xbox 360's and a bundle of games. I need to get down to my local pawn shop and buy a heap of games for cheap.

Yeah if you are to get a backup Xbox 360 I would recommend the Xbox 360 E that was the last Xbox 360 made and it looks similar to the launch Xbox one. It has the least problems and I have had mine for around 6 years and there have been no problems yet. And I hope to keep it that way.

F1 2013 NTSC is stupid rare. Rumors it was Amazon exclusive in USA due to its release being messed up it came out only shortly before 2014 and was never on store shelves

Where I live (Switzerland), F1 2014 is super rare because i guess it's the only backward compatible... many years i've been looking for this one.

Cleaned up on 360 games a few years back and up to over 300 disc games. Got so many of these for so cheap.

Someone in my town gave me his whole collection (not too large) for free, he gave me his 360 console, about 25 games, 2 controllers. And I sold it for a fat 700 so honestly ok with having sold it. I do want to have another console though haha

I've been collecting original Xbox for a couple years now. I'm at 73% of the collection including Platinum Hits. I only by in person. It's starting to get harder and harder to find what I still need. I've started to focus on the 360 as well. I'm at about 55% of that collection including the platinum hits. Hoping to get more and more games before they start raising prices.

I been collecting kinect discs for a while now, so cheap right now they are hard to pass up.

What do you think about the silent hill HD collection? Although it has a lot of technical issues it seems to have gone up in value. I don’t think it was ever released for PS4 or Xbox one either and the original games on PS2 are $100+

I’ve been playing games since Atari. Xbox 360 is my favorite system. I’m pretty sure I’ve got more games for that system than any others and I’ve been buying them the last 5 years or so for dirt cheap. It’ll be fun watching my investment grow haha

As more and more games get delisted amd the store closure looming, we're going to start to see prices rise more and more. These games will never be as cheap as they are today so go now is definitely the time to stock up on some amazing games!

I’m so glad I picked up a 360 E back in 2016 from a friend. Playing it now with all the old games that isn’t on pc that I don’t wana emulate for achievements and true nostalgia

I am lucky I started seriously collecting for the Xbox 360 5 years ago and almost have all the games I want in my collection, I have around 230 Xbox 360 games in my collection and only need 10 more games to add to the collection before I am done collecting for the Xbox 360.

I enjoy the videos but I’m not into collecting games that I have no interest in playing especially if you already own them on ps3 great video I enjoyed watching it on my break

I started collecting for both ps3 and Xbox 360 about 4 years ago. I’m glad I did as everything has jumped up significantly in price. I got nfs most wanted (2005) for xbox 360 loose disc for about $5 probably the last good deal I’ll ever get lol

Definitely some solid games on the 360.

We need another Ridge Racer game already...they used to launch a new console back in the day.

Xbox 360’s main selling point was the Live-service, so with that going away all I can envision are these games being left in the dust. Best time to collect would’ve been 10 years ago at the latest

I think the right time was until two-three years ago, right now some titles considered "rare" are going insanely crazy on value...!

Was collecting for 360 until I realized the new games have better graphics and are almost cheaper. Good hunting out there.

Maybe you should do a video about what arcade games you can still buy that you SHOULD buy before the 360 store goes down.

the real time that was now was when the xbone came out. Anyone that REALLY hunts for games and games will tell you the best time to get the last generation for cheap is when the new generation is just out. Because some people will sell their old generation stuff to buy the newer instead of keeping it to play. He' s just warning you to buy before it gets expensive. I'd still hunt thrift stores and garage sales before buying online. The current generation is different because there's not as much to demand for the newer systems because their games are literally just last gen games (just improved a bit in graphics and framerate). So people are holding onto ps4 and xbone games instead of just buying the ps5 and xbox series version. That and free upgrades on a lot of them. But even still i've got some ps4/xbone games last year (and probably will this year too) for cheap, $3 to 10 usd I've seen 360 and ps3 as cheap as $20 and ranging up to $70 usd (usually hangs at the 30 to 50 range though) Either way you buy though the catch is you have to know or be willing to pay for repairs if it doesn't work or work properly though.

The Last remnant got a remake, and the pc version was better compared to the 360 game

I’ve already built my Xbox 360 collection over the years. The majority of mine are factory sealed still.

7th gen (yes, even Wii) is the best in my opinion. Many games were new, creative and great! The playability was mostly great. Graphics still look really good. No need to install physical games (except for a select few like Destiny). The companies both devs and fhe console brands were still consumer friendly. Games were made much more completed upon release. Controllers usually didn't drift. Easy to play system link, offline, online, split screen etc..we had hella options. I have continued getting games and stuff for my 360's, PS3's and Wii's. Hell...even my DS Lite haha stock piling up for a healthy, comfy retirement from the all digital, stream to game future of gaming. We'll see IF next gen offers physical games still? Likely Nintendo. But probably not the other two? Switch 2 might be the last modern system I buy, saddly. All digital will only enable me to complete uncompleted games. Play back log games etc..

I loved the 360 it was a great system I definitely need to get a copy of that ultimate alliance

I love ya Steve, but me (and many others) fell into the trap as we approached the 3DS and Wii U closure. Paying substantially over market for a multitude of games and embracing the “panic buying” mindset. Prices for those games have almost entire settled and even dropped since the closure (for 90% of the library) . Feel like this cycle will repeat itself for Xbox 360. Not saying I won’t be buying any 360 games ahead of the closure, but definitely thinking a bit more thoroughly before dropping significant money on games.

I get it but also you have to be smart with buying. Just because someone on KZreadr tells you to you might need too , doesn’t mean you have too. I feel I letting other know and also use the skill in my videos to get the your game for cheap.

About five yrs ago was the time to buy 360 and the games at the pawn shop they where 2 bucks a game I have stacks of them I just had to install everything cuz of the store closing

An RGH Xbox 360 is a great way to preserve all the Xbox live arcade games and all the Xbox indie games that are going to disappear in June when Microsoft shuts down the 360 marketplace.

Definitely buy sports games....for the spare cases. I used to buy PS2 sports games and just throw the game, boxart, and manual in the trash.
