@@TheNomadsLens not being horrible but this guy kinda deserves it, as he was going to then scam the consumer with this awful catalogue watch...
Unfortunate for him, but if you like the idea of a watch brand but don't want to do the work to get it started properly, then that should be your hint to do something else.

we live in a world where we want everything now and without work.
Bit of an eye opener this, didn't realize you could actually do that, start your own watch company this way. My first thought was, if you aren't making it yourself why would you want to start a watch company, but I guess the whole work thing is a good point, and also not everyone is an engineer, or interested in that side of things.
as a jeweller, I created my jewellery brand and now I want to add some watches to my catalog with my design but I don’t know where to start. I’m between “what if I’m making the case by myself with my 3D print” and “I think is better if I find a great watch manufacture “ but when I see that is possible to be scammed, I’m like nah really.

3d print if its metal not plastic most people will say no to it and still need to polish the watch
Great advice, wise words.

Not just a warning for watch entrepeneurs, but for any kind of industrial production, I would say. Meet them, get to know them, understand who you're really working with.
Cant see anyone travelling to China anytime soon, i’d love to get into the watch business one day but won’t be until after Covid times 🤦♂️ i’m more of a Tag and Breitling guy. Maybe you could do a vid of genuine factories to resource from if you have time. Either way great info in vids 👍

How to do but websites
Are swiss private label manufacturers online trustable or not as well? I'm dreaming of starting a watch microbrand (don't attack me) and I want to take product design course next year and work with a watch company so that I can learn how these watches are made but I'm not the wisest about scams Found a few websites one of them has linkedin acc (4 workers but 3 of them has more than 200 connections the other one is just a seller or something idk) but Idk what's the price of manufacturing a swiss-made watch Edit: nvm it's pretty expensive I'll just stick with japan movt

WHY DON’T YOU REVEAL THE ACTUAL “X” COST AMOUNT PLS ?? CAN’T VISIT FOR COVID
@TheNomadsLens

Because it depends on the watch you want to make. Try walking into a watch shop and saying the $1 shop has watches for $1 so why can'y I buy your Rolex for $1. You can go to China as long as you follow the quarantine rules and provied negative test within 72 hours before your flight. If you're from USA then chances are you will not get a visa.

If you can be hired as agent. Do you have a fixed fee or it dependes of the batch? The expenses obviously should be charged. Thanks.

@@TheNomadsLens I think it would do the opposite. It would weed out the people who only talk and dream but it will give the people who are determined a good starting point and at the very least a figure to chase after.

The price also is irrelevant, this video was made 2 years ago and the cost is almost double now. When the dreamers find out the cost then runaway but the determined will keep going. As starting point you need $10,000 in the bank, smaples alone cost $1000's. Factorys now are being very picky who they work with. Done are they days when they need us. Now if you say I can make it cheaper for other factoy they say jog on.
I'd rather go to AliBaba and bulk buy a nice design with a name of My choice and just sell them here in the UK or online,at least I'd know what I'm getting..................

If I said to any of the dreamers who email me I want $1 they will wow that expensive, can't you just do all the work for me as I sit on my ass and make me rich. This is why they get scammed because they try to do everything on the cheap. The website "factories" know this so try to make as much money as they can because 99% of people don't produce the watches.
Or maybe just don't go in China and instead find a factory in EU.
