Need help, I got shells overlapping in my ETABS model. For specific, my floor slab is overlapping with the autogenerating stiff membrane over the column section. Does the overlapping affect my result? and how I'm supposed to behave?

Hi Decode BD, i model the base and 1 level and check no error, after that i followed your technique add stories to copy level 1 to top stories, then I checked in design check too many errors more than 1000 errors appeared. How to prevent such errors? Thank you

Not sure/familiar with this problem.

It give only error It can't generate warning file ? Any one can help ?

warning messages: "Roof, F4 & F14 are too close. Check at (0 7000 12600)", ........It don't shows over lapping, I checked, how can I fix it? If possible please describe different angles of solution regarding this sort of warning.

there was no overlapping, but still floor are too close.

You need to check that area connectivity at mesh joints & modify accordingly.

In my case Floors are not overlapping still I am getting warning that floors are to close..

I think it maybe a case of irregular shaped slab designs. Those are tricky to solve if they have over lapping problems
