Well, about 5 minutes of my First Cyclops being made I nearly lost it to a reaper near the Aurora. It damaged it, created fires, and chased me to the "safe" Zone, and peace out. By the time I got the fires out there was only about 20 or so Points of Health left out of the what, 1500? Man I was a Fool thinking it could take a Beating from a Reaper.

No matter what, I always fully prepare my cyclops like I'll be using it for the next 5 years straight. Shield module, 5 decoys in the tube, fire suppression, sonar, all of the good stuff. Whenever I near a leviathan, never use silent running, instead use ahead slow unless it is right on top of you. In that case, gain some distance, drop a decoy, go a bit farther ahead, and hold absolutely still.

​​@@torqueblueAfter I built my cyclops, I parked it near my mainbase, and kitted it out, (I added shield generator, replaced the power cells with ion power cells, added engine efficiency, added thermal reactor, added max depth modules, 1700m crush depth, added the decoy mod that allows you to have 5 decoys loaded, and storage, everything, even food stock, I use cured reginalds and large purified water, the one you get from the filtration machine.) and if you're wondering how I got ion cells before I even had my cyclops, I kitted out my prawn too like my cyclops, and went down to the lava castle to get the ion battery blueprint, and went down to the primary containment facility to get the ion cubes needed, and also grinded for 1 hour at the lost river for gold and silver, and there you go, that's my way of fully upgrading everything before I use it.

​@@themagicnerfI just go silent running, gun the engine to ahead flank, and drop a decoy, also activate the shield generator, the 6000 power from the ion cells are unbelievably good, the shield generator running for 30 seconds will consume 10-27%, if so, I also have 2 sets of ion batteries as spare, and the thermal reactor really helps out.

Oh god. So scary and badass at the same time.

I always, whenever I know I’m near Leviathans, press the “Rig for Silent Running” button.

Pro tip: turn off the engine and whatever is attacking you will ignore you after one hit

Silent mod also helping a lot. Last time with Cyclop when I met young Ghost I just turned on silent mod and he just swim under me and ignoring me without single hit.

Pro tip: ALWAYS bring your stasis rifle to the lost river, dunes, crash zone and the mountains

Pro tip: after you craft stasis rifle, always have it in quick slot everywhere. Like I die only once after crafted it and that was because I had it not ready in quick slots.

@@LittleMan2300 He's not cool but he's smart, the cyclops catches on fire only if you go at max speed, so if you never go at max speed you're good. Also it's very easy to avoid a creature attack, all you gotta do is turn the engine off once you see the red arrow, it will hit you once and then ignore you, trying to run is worse.

A couple of things. The fire extinguishers mounted on the walls aren't for show, you can interact with them and use them. Secondly, when under attack, you can shut off your engine and turn off all lights, and the creature should leave you alone shortly after.

He doesn't need to be there. 😢

no decoys + ghost = reload last save

Bold of you to be piloting a cyclops without a fire extinguisher in your inventory 😂

That's why you should use decoys or turn your engine off

after ghost leviathan attacked my cyclop ive got mad and just beated him with my thermoblade

That's a lot of mistakes man: - No Decoy (It's a must) - No Fire Suppression System - Low map awareness and evasive skill and the funniest part: Setting up flank speed while Ghost at your tail with no Rig-for- silent activated

When im here i go on silent mode, i have decoy ready and if i get attacked i full speed ahead for a few seconds then i go silent mode

I also sometimes just go out of the cyclops stasis rifle the ghost go back into cyclopse and drive away

Decoys aren’t a must? I never use them, but then again I never bring my cyclops into a combat situation.

Why not use a shield and a fire suppression upgrade? Trust it it works wonders in situations like this.

Takes a looong time. Killing a young ghost is like 30 minutes. I was pounding the sea dragon with the prawn suit for an hour straight until I ran outta power. Bitch just swam away

I know you probably did this on purpose but silent running would have kept you safe

im i the only person to get out the cyclops and go beat up the thing attacking me. My little knife and i will defend my buddy at all costs

Same I have like 30 hours playtime atm and have killed like 10 crabsquids and never been attacked by a ghost leviathan, and I've gotten to the final research station I did get attacked by the sea dragon in my prawn suit but thankfully he let me go Anytime a reaper or ampeel or ghosty come in my direction, I just shut off the engine and wait for them to pass by before starting back up and going slow Idk if I've used silent running yet, too much battery usage imo
