I don't see what the big deal is. When we have seafood boils the seafood is still alive when we put it in the pot. I guess I'm just used to it. We've been cooking seafood like that all my life.

Yeah but when you cook lobster, you drop it in hot boiling water. Not cold water that you slowly bring to boil. What's happening here is a slow and painful process for the crab. Not to mention, it's just air in their which is not a good conductor of heat and is even slower to get to a lethel temp.

All the people in the comments who simply have no clue this is basically identical to how crab/lobster is prepared worldwide.

SOME people still do this in Europe and the US. Some people in Europe and the US still offer their daughters for arranged marriages.
