That was GREAT! I'm in the process of beginning to paint a Russian Blue cat and needed a quick course in mixing greys, and that's how I found your video. While you didn't actually do any paint mixing, you provided great explanations of the differing shades and how to get them. I was kind of dreading this project but now I'm excited to experiment with all the different shades and tones of grey. Also a great explanation of cool and warm colors. It was basic but so understandable. Thank you!
Your explanations are wonderful and so easy to grasp! Thank you very much.
I used to be subscribed to dozens of art channels. This type of video is a big reason the others have been ditched. Your demonstrations and explanations are simply tremendous. Thank you!
Coolest explanation of the cool and warm shadows using greys. That explained the brown shadow that didn't make sense to me at first. Thank you very much indeed!
One of the best instructors online right here!

A much needed explanation. Thanks!
Thank you for the fantastic video - this has always been a 'gray/grey' area for me (pun totally intended), and it was so well explained, and finally I get it!! Love that you showed the warm and cool greys for different mediums too, as I do a lot of mixed material work.
Thank You. EXTREMELY HELPFUL
Thank you so much, this is clear and covers what I was wondering - thanks a lot!

So nice 👍👍🍀🍀🍀🍀
This helps a lot; I failed art class 2 times because I can’t draw for shit and I never paid attention. Now I found myself with a job where I have to create colors by eyesight, it’s been weird but this video helped a lot and gave me great ideas on how to make colors with correct temperature.
Hardcore mode: take a shot everytime he says gray.
That was soooo very informative especially in comparison to ‘other’ videos on the subject. It gets confusing fast if the teacher doesn’t consider his audience and the varied degrees of color theory knowledge one may or may not possess. I am learning by ‘doing’ and by ones such as you! I have subscribed to your channel hoping I will learn more about color bias paints. I find myself trying to replicate versions of greens I would call muted or cool. They are more gray/or blue hinted. It has been quite experimental as I’m learning more about the different blues and yellows and their make up in the bias dept! Lol it’s been quite fun to be honest. But you can get road blocked quickly if you were in the dark so to speak about how umber and the browns can help!!! Ty again for clarity, you are a very good teacher👍🏽 Ps I work with acrylic paints. I use various brands but when mixing primarily Golden, Liquitex and Amsterdam
I love color theory..
Vàry important video I understand
THANK YOU‼️🙏x
hmmm ok. Thank you, it's useful. I didn't know that blue + brown = black, that explains why there is no black on the watercolor paint set I bought, instead there is some kind of bluish dark grey... and some brown.. Still I find it more convenient to have some neutral black and add temperature to it if we want. I also didn't know that yellowish green was considered warm.

Good
Can you explain why complementary colors can be either brown or gray when mixed together?
Great video, though an explanation on French gray would have been helpful as well.

Gray
But suppose YOU want a certain grey for the kind of painting your doing. Any rules saying you can’t have that Grey , you got to have that one ? (For a late Autumn sunset)? Thanks.
If I am looking for the value of midtone in Photoshop. What would be the value of a midtone? For example R - 134 G - 132 B - 132
wowish
Man that frog look so real that it looks like it's about to jump off the page.😅😅😅
What two cool greys would you use together and what two warm greys would you use?
Que sapo lindo
Yes people don't understand how color is confusing to me
but then it gets even deeper than that. I didn't know that there are cool yellows.

I love you, you beautiful bearded man
I would like to SEE the demo not HEAR
Thank you so much for appreciating my time. I wish I had watched your video first. I wasted 3 hours of a beautiful, warm, sunny day watching useless videos of a greedy woman who just wants my hard earned money. And then she actually mentioned that her husband, kids, and dog just got home that and she is going out to dinner. All I want to do is paint my bedroom and go out for dinner too. If I have any time left in my day.n
Do not like the buzzer and the X. The abruptness is off putting. You made your point
white and black, seriously? you should be baned for this advice haha
Thank you!
