they are one of my favorite Chaos Legions, and they have a rivalry with the Imperial Fists that is pretty funny but also it's a sad one

The first mistake was not considering them sons at all.

In my readings, the Iron Warriors and Night Lords come out as pretty un-chaotic. I mean, at least not in the bible thumping Word Bearer kind.
