When the Flayer Virus is so bad that not even regular Necrons would wish it apon their own enemies. Well it would spread at such a rapid pace that it would eventually come back around full circle and get them too.

Well Necrons do have a pretty strong sense of honor, so using the virus that turns people into what they consider an abomination and a great shame would be like equivalent of heresy of its highest kind.

The Flayer was the first one they attacked, they destroyed him without knowing what would happen. afterward they determined "don't do that again" and started breaking them into shards

I always wonder why some necrons have 1 eye, since in the time they where necrotyr they hate mutations to the point they killed other with minimal mutations.

I believe it’s a show of class, notice how the models with one eye are ether technomancers or deathmarks with the exception of conoteks they are the only ones with one eye

I'm gonna elaborate on what the previous comment said It is indeed a class notice specifically for crypteks and apprenteks Although it also some other necron have developed it Such as those who in life had gone through the trials of the deathmark temple and some pilots (such as one of the two pilots of the command barge) If i had to guess, since there is no specific lore about the difference kinda of oculars in necron individuals) I'd say it's a precision-focused iteration of the normal skullsoket-like oculars of 'common' necrons, used by crypteks and maybe those more ponderous in nature to detect the minute details of their work, be it fixing the invisible working of impossible tecnology, detect the weakspots of powerful armor or precisely calculate the best trajectory for a vehicle. I'm not sure though It's speculation In general it looks sick af ngl

I used to think that the Flayer Virus is just shards of the C'Tan but very tiny shards. The size of a single virus cell.

Apparently not in his lore, this is a backstory for his own Necrons, maybe an alternative timeline where the Flayer Virus was never obliterated?

Just being NEAR Flayed Ones increases a regular Necron's chance of catching the Flayer Vrius.

I started the video hoping to be just a silly video, but half way through i already wasn't sure if it's cannon or not... it took me a while to find out guilliman didn't actually clapped that eldar. I kind enjoy following the warhammer lore by youtube and memes alone, i feel like a regular citizen walking around, hearing stories from several different people inside the warhammer universe and i never know what is true or not.

the flayer virus gets consciousness as a ctan shard and infects biological beings? what would the effects on tyranids or orks most likely be like then?

The vox crackles before finally settling: "I am. Inquisitor Sel-terka member of the orodo xenos. What I've came across was. Odd. A rabid wraith construct. We captured it and isolated in a thick containment chamber. It was first spotted by a guardsman regiment slaughtering it's own and 'eating' them without a second thought. Upon further examination it dawned flayed skin of guardsmen and eldar however it looked like they speaking. Not full on words but the lips were always moving. I'll update my findings if anything new came up with this. Flayed wraith." The vox recording ends as the camera slolwy pans out to reveal a bloody mess, blood splattered everywhere alongside with guts and drawings of the flayer. 'Praise the flayer he'll free us.'
