Berserk Psychotic Vampires have restraint??? Do you also think that Black Templars are the epitome of cool headiness and the most caring of all Astartes to normal Imperial citizens??? You must do if you view the Bloods as restraint-ful ;-p And meh the masters have to put the flea ridden mutts in their place every so often.

Just wanted to say as a new fan of Warhammer 40k (only watched lore vids so far) I truly enjoy yours vids.

The Wolf in terminator armour at 7:37- them icons on the shoulders are remeniscant of like the Luna Wolves icon with the cresent moon. (I know he's not meant to be one of Horus's lot though)

That final picture of the video is one of my faves :-)

note that lion had the chance to kill russ early in the fight when he disarmed him but held his blade making the fight be prolonged and with more people calling into question his victory. also russ said himself that the lion was needed for when guilliman ruined to imperium

@@bernardobastos5996 and strategist, when considering the loyalist primarchs left as the only primarch that would really be better at large scale was horus, also guilliiman is renowned for being skilled at governance, he's a statesman, not a tactician or strategist (granted still a primarch though so he's gonna be amaising at these but not amaising compared to other primarchs) also considering that the lion proved a very good strategist to combat horus during the heresy, doing more damage than any to the traitor legions out in the Galaxy than any other, most were dealing with a single traitor legions forces weras the dark angels most notably caused the night lords to fracture as a legion, corswain was left to pursue typhon retreating death guard forces (which was originally half the death guard legion) while lion went to ultramar to become lord protector and then fought off the traitors in ultramar, fighting off the word bearers and world eaters, aswell as hunting down curze were he could and eventually breaking his back and imprisoning him before providing proof that the emperor was alive, this being why sanguinius even went to terra, then lion found the way to terra and then (and im pretty sure lion suggested this) they decided the lion would make sure the traitors wouldnt have anywere to run in the imperium by attacking there homeworlds and probably other key worlds, guilliman would destroy the enemy blockade of terra and set up his own and sanguinius would head straight for terra

@@LCliffhanger Guilliman is a very capable strategist. And a quick learner. But yes, The Lion was superior in this regard. Horus though... he was good at taking glory and not much else.

the dark angels are the correct side in this, the space wolves were at fault for the death of a company of dark angels, they let out the wulfen and had to have the secret saved by the Lion, the space wolves were notably taking ages and had stopped making there way to the throne room and while lion did wait a small while, the lion killed him partly due to the amount of time he had to wait and the guy tried to kill him (which would have been unsuccessful no matter what but still) leman started the fight, lion won the fight and left

@@nairda55555 From a writers perspective? plot convenience. Though from an in-universe stand point, all we really know is that the 1st was just there to help, they do and say absolutely nothing to imply that they wanted to "steal Lemans kill" as a lot of people like to think. The 1st shows up, Leman is afraid of the 1st taking away from his glory and ignores all communications from the 1st, leading to the deaths of several companies worth of 1st Legionaries, which Leman acknowledges, put him in the wrong. Theres nothing to imply, as far as I can recall, that the Lion had any intention of stealing Lemans prize, especially when he waited for a significant amount of time, during an ongoing battle, waiting for Leman to show up and claim his kill.

​@@LCliffhanger It wasn't even Leman who ignored all communications, it was the captain of one of his companies who ignored the communication of a DA ship to their ship until "after they had bloodied themselves" Evidently the DA ship didn't attempt to bring up the issue to higher chain of command to contact Russ to contact the captain, or there was no time or ability to do so in the chaos of Battle. Russ wasn't aware of the attempts to communicate until after the fact. As for the DA helping, their help has always been. . .double edged. Even by 40k their "help" in the Armageddon campaign was hardly perceived any better by either their enemies or their allies. Russ could have easily conquered that world with his legion. Know who could really have used that help? Perturabo and his sons being aged to dust by the Hrud. Although, admittedly, I suspect Perty would have been even less enthused about help than Leman was and that is saying something. Vulkan or Sanguineous or Guilliman would likely have been the most open and amicable to help. They weren't too proud enough for it, and were proud enough of themselves to not care.

@@nairda55555 Even if it wasnt Leman's choice, the fault lies with the Space Wolves. Also I frankly dont see how there would be any way to contact Leman specifically as he was in the same room as the Captain ignoring the messages, and Leman probably should have been aware of everything that was going on, missing ally communications is pretty bad. Theres also 0 Comparison between the 1st Legion and the 40K Dark Angels, the 1st Legions assistance has never been a double edged sword, the only Legion anyone would ever have a reason to worry about is the World Eaters cause their basically the only Legion where friendly fire was a real risk. Frankly, a lot of Peturabo fans also like to maintain the idea that Perturabo had it harder than any of his brothers, frankly this is untrue, the 1st Legions entire purpose was to annialate the biggest threats to the Imperium, especially the ones that the Emperor wanted burried and forgotten. Perturabo was just petulant and self-pittying, even his sister on Olympia scolded him, even if all he said was true and he was having to deal with especially difficult challenges, she pointed out, as the Emperor directly told him, Perturabo was meant to be his Lord of Iron, the Hrud were a nasty enemy, but theres plenty examples of other Xenos that are just as dangerous, if not more dangerous.

He was on the Nidhoggur, while the captain was on a separate vessel that blew up the Dullan vessel the DA were unbeknownst to him was boarding (that captain did ignore the frantic DA communication pings however). Leman had to order the Nidhoggur to rush in and get between the Dark Angels ship striking the Space Wolf vessel in the back for blowing up the Dullan ship with their boarders, taking the blow and preventing a full on firefight

Probably not for long, it's ought to get boring if Roboute is fighting everything all by himself so he should get a few bruvas back, and Lion and Wolf are most likely to return (may be Khan too? some serious shit happened in Commorra after all). I doubt they will have time to clean up their legions' mess though.

The Lion and Russ are so similar its not funny. The Lion raised feral, so was Russ. They are both the most stubborn Primarch's, they both don't play well with others when they want their way, both are obsessed with honour and the pride of a warrior. Arguably they are equally matched, I mean they duelled for days and it only ended in Russ getting knocked out due to a misunderstanding, the Lion thought he was laughing at him and suckerpunched him (granted if he was in fact laughing at him it wouldn't have been a sucker punch) Its no wonder there was such amenity between them, they are so much alike. Granted they'll be tonnes of DA/SW dorks denying this each trying to say 'my Primarch is better meh.'

Well, technically he "died" after the Horus Heresy, but there's somewhat of a consensus that he's just sleeping in the depths of the Rock, the Dark Angels' fortress monastery. Russ did indeed believe the Lion died at the end of the Horus Heresy, thus the mourning I mentioned.

I would side with the Space Wolves. I like they're lore better. But Lion EL Johnson did get his retribution.
