Warhammer 40k Grot Mega Tank Kit Bash
This months 40k Ork Community challenge was to rescue a model which has sat around, unloved, for far too long. So I took a half painted Chimera I'd had on the scrap head since the '90s and, with a heathy amount of bits from various kits and a good deal of plasticard and rivets, I knocked up a Grot Mega Tank for my Waaagh!
Introducing Grotty McGrot Face, this video shows off the model and the process of building this thoroughly enjoyable Warhammer 40,000 project.
There's also a daft intro I chucked in for shits and giggles 🤘😝

Watching that wonderful intro, is anyone else reminded of that scene in Spaceballs, “No sir, I did not see you playing with your dolls again!”?

The rear stability wheel during WW1 was for crossing trenches so the tanks weren't stopped at the 1st trench and could breakthrough the enemy lines with infantry support following them up.
It's a good thing they don't have low bridges in the 40K universe! But perhaps that's because super grot tanks have driven through them all! It looks great! 👍

Thanks Brak 😊 I was going to go with a grot painted like a bronze statue, all corroded etc., but I had that commissar spare and, well, they are vicious little bastards 🤷🏻♂️😲😁
As a Nurgle Converter I always feel a kinship between us and Ork Konverterz. What you lot do with mechanical junk we do with fleshy junk.

Absolutely mate, I've always liked Nurgle armies, in fact I've got a 1000pts or so unbuilt which one day I will build paint and add to with grotesqueries 🥴 I just like any faction where you can cut your imagination loose and go wild 😝👍

The WW1 tanks have that wheel bit at the back to help them cross wide trenches more easily, stability was a good guess though.
