This is about the fifth time I've listened to this story now, thanks for doing these readings man.

Can someone please explain how it is physically possible for this man to walk and fit into a Leman Russ tank of any variation with balls that fucking massive?

Finally a happy ending to one of these stories. This Warhammer 40K stuff is epic!

Well the Border Prince would be piloting a grand knight titian following generations that had been pilots within the mech.

This story is one of the reasons that the Savlar Chem Dog are my favorite regiment.

This will always be one of my favorite IG tales due to how honestly and uncompromising it's confrontation with the futility of mortality was written. Baller stuff, and a great narration too+

Literally just the movie "Fury" in WH40K. Very epic.

All these short stories realy paint the picture in my head of the galaxy burning.

Good grief - they have open vision slits like a WW1 tank, so flames and fragments can come straight through into the interior! Someone please explain to Ben Counter what a vision block is, and why they've been the norm since WW2. I suppose these poor buggers are in a penal legion after all...

Wait...loading the Autocannon with shells? Uhm...that defeats the entire purpose of an autocannon. They are attached to Ammo hoppers in the Leman Russ.

An autocannon is supposed to be like the bushmaster chain gun on the Striker. I swear, these writers have no idea about the Lore. But then I've said that for years LOL?

Theoreticly they would load shells into a hopper. I always thought of an imperial autocannon being analogous to a real world 40mm bofors. Thus shells loaded manually into a sickle hopper. Knowing how huge the drum hopper is on a gau8 it wouldn't be very space conscious in a 40mm.

lol Chem Dogs are the Imperial Guard's version of the Blood Ravens.

"A rummage through the defixio's gear produced an old but working laspistol, which Samuel took. 'This is the last gift I will ever receive.' he thought. It felt like the first." Such good writing, legitimately one of the best short story I've heard. Certainly my favorite Warhammer story.
