When you made a video being like “I need to take a step back” I was not expecting the best warframe explainer series I’ve ever seen to come out of it. Absolutely brilliant, mate.

What people don't know about stealth farming is it's been bugged intentionally by DE for many many years. How? when enemies freshly spawn in there is a hidden penalty timer of 3-4 seconds where if you kill them, they don't count as a stealth kill even though they are unaware and they will ruin your stealth xp bonus. Why is this a thing? It's a leftover bandaid fix to a survival exploit many years ago where clients could camp enemy spawn locations in survival where enemies spawn unalerted for half a second to get xp. It wasn't very efficient, required specific tiles, and DE eventually fixed the exploit anyways. But, they KEPT this penalty. If you ever did a silence leveling method you will have noticed that even though nobody seen you, you constantly lose your stealth bonus. This is why, hardly anyone knows this is a thing, and nobody is aking DE to fix this as it has not been needed as a bandaid fix for years.

it depends on the tile too at how bad this issue makes stealth farming. LUA has the worst enemy spawning in the entire game, as it will literally spawn enemies 5 feet behind you or right in front of you since the enemy count is too high for the tile lol. The grineer galleon is what im most familiar with as the exterminate on saturn is where ive done my xp leveling for many years and i know many enemy spawn locations by this point, some of the worst have you kill enemies, move a few feet, then a new enemy spawns then sees the dead body and gets alerted. The eximus overguard ignoring sleep didn't help either@@moekofi2561

I upgrade warframes by subsuming thermal sunder without any weapon and go sanctuary onslaught so all of it goes to warframe. For weapons,ampa, etc just pick vauban go to sanctuary on slaught and start shooting in vortex since all kills are done by equipment all of it goes to weapon. I use above methods regularly and I am MR33 with 4k+ hours in game just in case someone wants to know.

Have your warframe, weapons, and companion ranked or formaed(any one or two will do) 2. Get crewmate with explosive weapon span(mostly kiva Zara) 2. Load into Elara on Saturn in steel path solo 3. Hack console and then call your crewmate and hold his position at the entrance(near said console so that the enemies are coming from one direction) 4. Sit back and witness gRoFit

YES! I'm glad that this type of content is a series now. Imagine me and you (new player) 7 years ago, knowing all this stuff properly. Nobody explained this, and the other topics you'll cover, back then in full, nor did they elaborate in one single video. Mixed in one topic, maybe, but not fully dedicated as the main topic. Really happy this is being made by you.

One thing that I’ve found to be EXTREMELY good at farming focus is to slap a lens on Gyre and take her into ESO. The chain lightning from her 3 and 4 can delete the entire map several times over with the right build. I’m MR22, and I can easily max my daily focus by just doing 8 zones of ESO with a single lens on my Gyre.

yesssss and the augment for her 3 helps so much. I do it on steel path, in the dark sector survival on sedna,but I could see it going well in ESO

Note: Operator Amp Affinity/Focus can be Obtained more easily on Spy Missions. No Alarms when hacking the Terminal gives quite a bit of Affinity/Focus. And it's easy enough to do it solo or in a group. Just make sure you are Operator to get the Amp points.

It's also handy because some amp shots will pass right through walls and break cameras/sensors, if you are not using a stealth frame.

Bonus Focus Tip: Tridolon (Doing all three Eidolons) Hunting is GREAT for Focus as there's SO many rewards that give Focus. And these items do not require a lens and can be used on any school even if not active. And those Items do bypass the Daily Focus Cap too. If the Tridolon Hunt comes up in the Nightwave Rotation, you have a much more likely chance to find a good to find a group or some clan members and Dominate the challenge. The only drawback is your Amp must be decent, or you must be trying to use the Meta Builds if you want to get it done fast. I personally use Harrow Prime and I am almost always welcome in a Public Group. I don't care that I am not the DPS Dealer or Controller. I give Everyone else the BIG Damage Boost. And they do most of the hard work.

Regarding stealth runs: 1) you can combine the two: have a buddy that will do a stealth run with you just tagging along. As long as you don't alert enemies you will level very fast, regardless what that is. 2) using Silence makes Eximus units do not get alerted while you are chipping their Overguard, so remove it like halfway and perform a melee finisher from behind if you can. 3) Banshee is the best frame if you want to solo level weapons: all weapons are silenced, you have Silence yourself and even with minimal strength Sonar provides 100% extra damage on weakspot 4) Alternative to Rest is subsuming Gloom on Banshee - enemies are unaware for the netire duration of their 'headache' animation from Silence and Gloom slows that down. 5) Operators have a separate stealth multiplier, even if you alert something with your Warframe. You will gain stealth multiplier on Operator if you kill enemy that is asleep with your Amp 6) Currently there is a nasty bug that breaks stealth multiplier if enemy dies from a hit that applies damage status effect even if it was one hit kill so mod accordingly. Any weapon that has around 900 total damage (with or without crit) should kill Grineer on Sedna Exterminate in a single hit. Rest sleep require some damage to wake up so bullet hoses should also be able to keep stealth multi with ease. If Sedna is too hard, go to Saturn, the exp is less but still should level entire weapon to full with a booster in single run.

I'm so glad you are covering stuff like this and clearing up the confusion, especially for the newer players that don't have it as gained general knowledge. Also please keep adding the bloopers to the end, hearing you laugh and showing that you're human is a wonderful addition to an already great video❤

Usually if im leeching for weapon XP I go speedva in hydron to speed everything up while also giving squadmates health, energy and ammo with protea's dispensary, so it's a LOT more involved than just beign AFK and not helping while still keeping the 75% weapon affinity for most kills Also imo nuke volt with lua lens + affinity booster in base sanctuary onslaught is still the best way to go for focus farming

I guess focus farming with lenses has become better though with the current upgrades (standard 5000 focus, when picking the focus orb(?)). Though I think the circuit generates focus the fastest, because you can flatout max the daily focus standing with just a couple of rounds on the circuit. Still depends of course how many thraxes per round will actually spawn (they seem to spawn a lot less frequent on exterminate rounds). Also I love your content. I always take your advice to heart, because your content is just very straightforward, tested and varied!

First time doing g the circuit and I didn't even realize I maxed out the daily cap. I was with some friends freaking out that I wasn't seeing any focus stuff and saw I maxed it out earlier.

Thank you for putting out a guide like this. When I was starting out it was really confusing to understand the way leveling period worked. Then I ran into the same issue with focus farming. Theres so many click bait videos that dont actually explain how it works and more or less waste the time of the viewer. Love your content!

Nice video, however I have some criticisms. Stealth Silence setuls require the Savage Silence augment which you forgot to mention, which makes it practically impossible to lose the stealth multiplier as it... somehow does that. Hydron is not a good affinity farm, I understand wanting to get higher tier relica, however, ESO leeching is just aay faster and nets you Radiant relics (though only Lith and Meso relics). Great video btw

ESO leeching is faster, but you can only do it with a lvl 30 frame. Regular SO doesn't require any lvl, but enemies on hydron are higher lvl and give more affinity.

@@_apple_juice_ i think regular SO still has merit because of the intervals at which you can leave the mission. instead of every 5 waves of hydron, which could take a variable amount of time depending on your squad's setup, you can leave every 2 and a half minutes in SO. by the time you get enough affinity to fully level a frame, you won't have very much left in the round. while on hydron, depending on boosters, how much you get done with a frame, etc, you might get the required affinity at like wave 11, and have nearly a full round to go. it may not be faster to do SO, but it just feels nicer to me.

Another way to passively get a lot of XP is Steel Path Elara on Jupiter. You spawn a starting room that should have kuria, spawn Kahl squad and railjack crew member with something like Zarr on Toxin. Stand on a sign of corpus and watch enemies being killed while moving a little bit to avoid AFK detection system. 5 minutes and everything is leveled up. No need to leech off any public squad.)

I've started doing SP dark sector survival on Sedna with Gyre and her 3 augment with an Ignis - the infested just melt and the enemy density is so high that the augment is constantly giving you extra procs. takes like 15mins to max without a booster, plus it's really fun to play

This is a great series MC, and one of the greatest ever comebacks from the "step back" video from not very long ago. Also, more bloopers please - they're hilarious 😄

I've found two ways to consistently stealth kill Eximus units as Ivara; which is absolutely worth doing (60K+ affinity at 500%, one Eximus can give you multiple levels). First is to approach them from behind while fully shielded and unaware with a powerful melee weapon, and power attack at about your max melee range. This is a bit of a crapshoot though, as it simply sometimes doesn't work. (Might be the DoT proc bug) The other way is to chip off their shield completely with a weaker primary or secondary and then shoot a sleep arrow. Very important- let them sleep! Don't kill them until they wake up and you know they're unalert. For extra security you can sleep them again before you kill them. This results almost 100% of the time in a stealth kill, although you can screw it up if your shield chipper weapon is too strong. Tip: try to keep Ivara's sleep timer as low as possible. As long as her efficiency is maxed at 175% with Fleeting Expertise and an 8-point Streamline, you don't need any extra duration to push it to max. Enemies will sleep for about five seconds, tops. This helps you get through the mission faster, as well as each kill quicker without causing the bonus to drain. I love this series, my man. I think its the best WF work you've done since the slo-mo stance breakdown series.

I used to run Spies a lot back in the day for affinity; once you have the vaults memorized, a stealth frame can easily get through them in a few seconds and you get a lot of affinity for stealthily stealing the data. It really only worked on Affinity weekends the best since you could get an affinity booster to stack on top of it. Nowadays, Operators can stealth even better than frames, and you can just park your Frame somewhere they can't be seen till you come to the console in the vault.

Loving this “but why” series taking a deeper look at the reasons behind things being meta. Really helpful for making more fully informed decisions instead of just copying things.

O lot of people don’t realize but putting banshee augment Savage Silence is really important if you are gonna do stealth even if you will be using like rest because this augment has a hidden ability that makes enemies less aware of their surroundings. It becomes weyyy easier to keep your stealth counter.

I really like this kind of series that actually explain things not just here's the meta set, don't ask anything else

Hey MC! Just realised your views have quadrupled in your videos since your "let's talk" video. Im very glad to see a show of solidarity from the community and a higher level of investement from, well, everyone. You deserve to get far more views and i do hope this trend keeps.

Stealth spy farming with Ivara will always be my go to. For one, Ivara is one of my favorite frames and she obviously excels at stealth farming (slap a silencer mod on a weapon and as high as a serration as you can get and aim for the head) and two the free easy just fat dump of perfect data vault breech is nice and simple. 2 mission run throughs about 12 mins overall and I got a couple weapons maxed. Peace and the agonizing screams of dying Grineer are just a welcome respite from running all over the place at super sonic speeds.

Another option to mention about amp affinity farming is railjack. You can pilot or use turrets as the operator and the affinity gained will count. It might not be quite as fast as directly using it but since Railjack gives decent affinity it's good for clunkier or cheaper amps for mastery.

something you the viewer should be aware: enemy spawns are proportional to the amount of players in a squad. And different factions drop different amounts of xp. I don't have the data in mind, but it's enough to be significant. And game changing in the case of small vs large lobbies

Thanks for explaining the mechanics, I've known about the different methods but never why each one is good.

I remember back in my babby tenno days that I leeched from cracking relics, especially defense or survival. Because, no matter what, you have to clear 5 waves or wait 5 minutes to clear the mission, I will just tag along whoever was killing a lot and try to do some damage. Of course, I only had one or two that needed level upping, while (Vaykor) Hek doing most of the work. Nowadays, I just sit around in ESO, build the weapon for viral-heat, pull enemies together, and whacking on them in a corner, so I’m doing something.

1:25 --skill-- *equipment issues.* you can "stun" them with zenurik focus schools temporal drag through overguard then laser their shields off with an amp (void damage is extra effective vs overguard!). then just hit the sleep button and wait. Temporal drag is a very useful and special skill cause it's an area slow that when maxed can both slow most enemies except CC immune super bosses even more than cold procs can without you even needing to lay a finger on them also through overguard and in some cases through invulnerability to (to your own detriment often if you accidentally do this. :V), it also amplifies headshot damage when the secondary effect upgrade is unlocked in focus. To that end, another sleep power thats better in some cases, particularly if you get noticed first but manage to salvage the situation is Baruuk's lull with the augment. That sleep takes a moment to take hold, but when it finishes they're out like a light completely and their alert level is reset and even if you hit them, theres a moment where they're still drowsy after waking up where they still won't regain the ability to detect for a moment letting you finish them up. also, doing finishers or killing an enemy cleanly while they're asleep will re-trigger lull to sleep more enemies who come into the area or were woken up by chip damage later. so this sleep is actually pretty good for eximus cause after you break their guard with operator then temporal slow them, the lull will knock them back into unaware mode within a couple of seconds and you can finish them off for that sweeeeet sweeeet x5 xp if you save them for last. This mass of XP usually gaining you several levels of xp onto the weapon in question immediately. 5:35 does this count if the squad you're running has a volt and a wisp who go at hyper speed through the mission obliterating everything in the room on steel path before you can even drop a crowd control move to group enemies up and try to assist? cause I had that the other night. a pair of try hards + myself and friend as legendary casuals and they were literally smoking the level themselves while knowing exactly the way to go every time while we'd still get distracted by stragglers making out map markers not show where to go and we'd have to try to keep in affinity range to even attempt to "support". At that point, we just made some nervous comments on their prowess completely overshadowing us and courteously thanked them for the xp and relic drops and just rotated between our leveling gear and brought some buffs and stuff and just let them do their thing while trying not to get left in the dust... :V

Helpful note for leveling amps: vauban exists. Use the augment that lets you extend the duration of vortex and max out that range and duration. If your amp doesn't do aoe, don't worry, the vortex is irresistible to warframe players, and they'll gather around to shoot it like it's a damn bug lamp. Seriously. I've watched people lose survivals and sanctuary because they'll sit in front of my vortex and do nothing but shoot it. I'll stop using it and watch them replenish the meter, then throw it out and watch them go back to being transfixed.

Subsume Silence on Ivara, replace 2 or 4 up on your preference. Stealth, silence, sleep - kill. Fun fact, if you alerted an enemy and sleep it, they will wake up with no alert afterwards. For eximus, Stealth takedowns or ignore them, alternatively - break their overshield, sleep until alert reset, kill ( Only do this if your sleep duration is low around under 20s )

i usually don't worry about leveling anything specifically, i just do litches and relics and stuff maxes out whenever

I just put one lens type on each nuke frame I had, and the only weapon I ever put lens on was Ignis Wraith (my top use weapon in my early MR days). 99% of my focus came from Elite Sanctuary Onslaught. This was also around the time I was levelling a lot of MR fodder. I was nuking the hell out of ESO during focus buff window - on my lens equipped nuke frame, then mr-foddered with my weapons and/or leeched from squad kills to get affinity for weapons during the rest of the zone timer. I think casually doing ESO with 1 good weapon, 2 fodders, on nuke frame with lens is perfect mix of levelling up things AND getting focus at the same time. By the time I was done with mr fodder, I had so much operator school focus, that I still had between 2 and 7 milion points leftover on each of the schools after buying all skills (and even more now focus points thanks to Duviri). Also, getting 6 lens of highest % was relatively easy to do, and I sold other lens, pure profit.

So, the fastest method for Affinity Leeching by far is having a Archon Mod Legerdemain Mirage in Sanctuary Onslaught. The mobs quite literally just instantly die on spawn, giving you an easy 200kpm+. If you want to boost someone this way (or affinity farm) my recommendation is to remove Hall of Mirrors and put in Nourish (if running Zenurik for the insane regen) or Dispensary. Throw out your discoball to kill some enemies at start of each room, press 2, drop Dispensary, press 3 and move into the light, press 2 every time Dispensary throws something our unless it is an Energy Orb. It is stupid quick and even without Affinity Boosters it should max your entire teams loadouts (including companions and thier weapons) in max 2.5 rooms, if Affinity Booster + Blessing, usually first room

I just used Hydron last night to level like 4 things at once. Affinity booster from Grendel Prime Access and its a double affinity weekend. Usually I equip one of my good secondary or primary weapons so I can at least kill something.

Melee has the best stealth farming options due to finishers converting a great deal to true damage as well as naramon melee affinity bonus making the farm so much better.

Great video, but the only thing missing is farming standing in the circuit which is far more comfortable than messing around with lenses you only really need them to farm the initial 50k so you can activate the school.

My favorite ways to leech are either speedva, roar rhino, or provoke equinox. I subsume roar onto equinox for leeching and for rhino I subsume nourish because it's the best damage buff that isn't forced to replace roar. This allows me to super-amp my allies ability to kill enemies, making the farm even faster.

In my oppinion, the best way to level up is the mirror defense (Tyanna pass). The mobs give great xp there and you can be useful even with weak weapons or frames if you pick up the crystals. Also Elite Sanctuary Onslaught exists.

For focus farming, Steel Path Circuit is king if you want to actively or even passively. Lenses are just for really passive farming, like something you don't worry about in my opinion.

For me the more fun way is sanctuary onslaught with nova's helminth to level frames and ESO for weapons. I get relics along the way

I always just do sanctuary onslaught because I figure if I'm leveling stuff, I want to level as many things as I can at the same time, and if you have a fresh frame, plus a full set of fresh weapons, they might be trash, they might be able to do something, but either way the maps are so small that it effectively guarantees that you'll be in full affinity range for the whole time.

I like to use the area denial xaku on a survival mission. Post up in a good spot and keep pressing 4.

I usually leach in relic survivals or defendes, basically I go with my friend and two randoms, and my friend is LR2 so he doesn’t level almost anything already. He takes builds that can solo waves and waves so even if the other 2 randoms are not somehow useful it’s chill.

For levelling amps, pilot a raljack as operator and start killing enemies.

Im helping lvl in ESO - with good setup we geting gun lvled up in one round - even kuva/tenet on 5 forma - ofc depends a bit on luck cuz not every tilest and enemy is treated equal And you cant level frames that way unless you are mastery 30 and 1 fomra into frame (but i have nuke build optymised for ESO)

The efficiency of squad farming is kinda exponential depending using affinty range bonuses also, spawns increase based on squad numbers and respawn rate depends on kill speed, with a solo vauban with range buid using his 4 to gather enemies you can max a prime weapon in 2 rounds of ESO, if you use the one weapon trick, and all your squadmates maintain the x3 multiplier by staying in range. Its doesnt even need to be vauban, any group that can maximise killrate, and not scatter can do this easily. The biggest problem with ESO or SO farming is convincing everyone to stay together so the spawns don't scatter. Also relics rewards every 2 levels of SO or radiant relics for ESO.

A good SO or ESO goes pretty darn fast tbh. I did notice enemy levels barely exists for the xp, i got less mass murdering steel path dark sector boosted infested where i was running like 100 kills a minute at minimum and it was worse then just SO in a decent squad.

Operators actually count separately from warframe stealth if you want to keep the bonus up swap to your operator first kill the eximus then move on.

No mention of Sanctuary Onslaught at all? Or Elite Sanctuary Onslaught? That's my go to for leveling with the info you presented. With a booster, I get a warframe to lvl 30 in 1 or 2 waves in solo regular SO. with a weapon, I usually get one to 30 in 1 or 2 waves in multiplayer ESO. It's far more quicker and easier than both stealth farming and Hydron.

Wait there is a anti-afk feature with affinity sharing? I usually go Saryn in ESO press my 1, occasionally press 4 (ik frame kills only provides xp to frames), and stand still hoping the others would give me affinity xp. I noticed the inconsistency but never really bothered linking it (half of the time I was doing something else).

Goes without saying but dark sectors are another method. Not quick by any measure but as a player that only stealths with Ivara and a crit veil cernos and prefers to be left alone and values the ablity to pause the game dark while still gaining a bonus to affinity DS survival is usually my method of choice. Help that most have a affinity boost on general kills on top of a weapon specific affinity boost.

Maybe the operator affinity sllit works in Duviri where the Drifter has an amp and melee weapon? Still strange but....

Wait so this whole time I was going into Sanctuary Onslaught with a max Hek and Lex prime ( for main killing and xp) and the level 0 weapon of my choice. In reality the only Xp I gained during was solely caused by shared affinity from the teammates because both the lex prime and Hek were eating up affinity ? 💀

it' affinity buff weekend yesterday and sortie gave me 3 day affinity booster. man, leveling 1 weapon almost only takes 1 round on Sanctuary Onslaught. that's why i'm build my Shedu right now. (gotta farm nora creds right now to buy silver potato before nora vanishes).

does exultted weapons like serene sands give 100% to warframe? or between? and if it does split does it become 50% 12.5% 12.5% 12.5% 12.5% ????

My issue is that I got like 60 melee that I need to rank to hit MR30 I am not planning on throwing a potato on ALL of them cause that would be very expensive. I've been doing 2 weapons and sometimes no pet or just a smeeta so the exp at least goes to the right weapon but damn it's takes long at times even in SO at times since SO is my preferred place to rank stuff on.

What I like to do in ESO is the next: 1. Go with Saryn (or Volt, Mirage, etc) and have a friend go with Saryn as well. 2. Clear the first room, so your friend can leech. Then next room your friend clears, so you can leech now. 3. Repeat. Should get both's weapons to max in about 4 rooms.

I wonder if baruuk can be built for mass sleep

TBH for weapon leveling I find just hopping into ESO to be the best. I can easily max one out in two zones without a booster.

What about warframes with exalted weapons? Does killing enemies with the exalted weapon still return 100% XP to the warframe or is it split?

I use Loki with equinox rest so i can be invisible and put people to sleep. I focus farm with it too

I sill go to ESO. Is not 'optmal' but is a quick way to get some relics as well. And just to not have to be running to a extraction for the 99969th time it's good enough for me

Hydron is good for leeching but Helene on Saturn is also good enough. Slightly less exp obviously but still gets the job done when the waves are over and has better overall materials then hydron. I’ve stopped doing Hydron or Helene because it became too slow and boring imo. Since then I just leveled up through stealth leveling and even with the penalty timer I’m still able to level my frames on avg of 2 minutes or less on Adaro sedna. For weapons leveling i now do SO or ESO with nova (any build really) and have another teammate use any nuking frame to clear rooms instantaneously.

Do ability-augmented kills count as weapon or ability kills? Example Xata's, roar, nourish, eclipse etc.

it is all about the damage. If the weapon did the damage it is a weapon kill. One exception is Syndicate procs from weapons. Those count as frame kills

shoulda mentioned SO and Thraxxes.... angels too i guess, but still I'm MR 30 and I didn't know a single thing in the video before

idk, for weapons i do ESO, fastest 0-30 i had was 1.42 minutes and SO for Focus, 12-15 minutes untill cap.

I still go to sancuary onslaught. Haha

i just completed all my focus schools yesterday. i can rest now
