NGL I've never needed a primer with the Athodai. Just build it to crit a relevant damage type and go for headshot kills, and it'll lay waste to everything. I keep hoping that at some point in the future DE will let us dual wield this beast.

I love it on my Yareli, using Merulina Guardian for insane fire rate on the overdrive, i just wish arcane pistoleer worked on it!!

Feels like a watered down stahlta. Alt-fire switching modes instead of just launching the explosive makes this gun feel so sluggish in playstyle

That’s true but it does have a hitscan AOE so if u group up mobs and go pure electric hitting a group would hit multiple limbs causing cross chain damage to happen more often and more often than not one shotting the group from the status damage. Very niche but it at least isn’t as useless as calibans one

Honestly prefer this design to Stahlta. Stalhta sounds nice and can easily pack a punch, but I really don't like bringing an empty gum wrapper to gunfights.

Im actually so excited to see this because i love this weapon stylistically! I imagine this setup will be even better for the upcoming damage update because armor stripping (especially full armor stripping) wont be nearly required every time. Thanks for the inspiration!

you should try the cinta. for some reason, split flights work with the cinta despite being an aoe bow.

I believe you will enjoy revitalized supra minigun setup. Especially with aptitude being multiplicative on projectiles

this build will get even better when cold changes with jade shadows where we can 100% freeze enemies

I would love to see another Gotva Prime video after the status changes, would be interesting to see how it performs with a build where it just stacks blast on enemies, see if everyone can become a live explosive. Would also love to see something regarding the other spearguns you haven't done for the series or some of the weapons that recently got their nightwave augments back, like the Convectrix or the Magnus. Maybe some of the syndicate weapons that do not have a better variant like the Vaykor Marelok or Sydon?

For anyone trying this weapon, the alt fire does nutty damage to enemies who are grouped with a rag doll grouping ability, i.e. Larva (see AZNinvasionplays battacor augment vid at roughly the 2-min mark for details). Basically, rag doll with hitscan aoes makes it, so your shot hits 4 or 5 times.

Funny how I just realized I had two components and thought why not build it. I have been looking at older videos about it for the past hour or so. Then your video showed up XD.

Secondary fire truly shine with pure electricity and ragdoll grouping ability (larva, airburst) due to funky effect of electric proc on ragdolled enemies.

Thanks for giving this weapon a shot, though im a little disapointed we did get a build around the secondary fire mode, not even a dumb fun build with primed firestorm. Oh well maybe another day.

If you want a good priming pet that isn;t Harold: try Diriga. Use the Bond mod that makes pet abilities proc all status from their weapon; Diriga has a really good aoe zap that primes frequently, especially if you use the cooldown bond mod as well - every kill basically triggers another round of priming, and the primed enemies have enough status to proc the bond mod again.

Diriga is a good primer for melee, not as much for enemies farther away because it’s arc coil ability has a very short range

Could I recommend a personal favorite of mine? I feel it stands out more than even its primed cousins; the Attica. It was the game's FIRST crossbow, it has tones of potential with a 5+ Riv dispo, along with being initially Silent! It's not super powerful, but still one of my favorite fun guns to bool with.

RE: Deadhead. Electric procs resulting on a headshot have no problem triggering Deadhead and other headshot kill conditions. Gas can do it too, but is a little less reliable. Other DoTs can't, so kills with your HM bleeds would have slowed down Deadhead.

I find with these low crit-chance, high crit damage weapons, you can drop all the crit chance mods since they don't really give you a noticeable boost. if you pair it with a crit-chance buffing Warfame like Citrine, it becomes dependably devastating. Just llike Citrine's signature shotgun is not very good on Warframes who are not Citrine, when modded for crit damage, it becomes a room-clearer with Citrine. I find Hammer Shot to be an easy and satisfying mod to replace crit chance with. I need to try the mixed special minus crit chance on this.

Pretty sure Ambassador was one of the last, if not _the_ last, weapon I tried to tinker around with before quitting. Something about it just really appealed to me despite its more lackluster performance, think it was the gun feel and cool alternate mode. I usually don't talk about my builds since I never bothered to work on weapon arcanes and missed the shard system entirely, but iirc, I did run fire rate on this to make the alt mode better. I can't remember what I gave up for the slot, though.

I actually had fun with this gun using energy munition with gauss, and use the alr fire and just barrage it
