Am getting to grips with WF WW2 and was struggling to understand how action cards are replenished, this made it so much clearer. Thanks for posting

Thanks for this. Really enjoyed it. Been waiting for a playthrough of it. Didn't have the $ for the Kickstarter but will be picking it up in parts at my LGS over the holiday. Really, cannot wait. Been salivating over this since it was announced.

Thanks a bunch. When you play solo it's easier to be forgiving of mistakes, but when you put them out there for folks, well... Better to at least acknowledge them. Thanks for the feedback!

This is a killer game... I see your playing with the Germans. Your playthrough helped me a lot. I got the base set along with the US #1,#2...Germany #1,#2...Russia #1,#2, Gear Deck, and the two decks that come with the Ammo Box. The last one to arrive was the US #2 and I opened it up ready to play with the new cards and it was the UK #2 cards... Big bummer. Also, I found a card box on Amazon that fits all of the cards I have and looks like it would fit the whole set "Unsleeved" for sure but maybe sleeved as well. It is a Caseling Large Hard CASE. Fits up to 1400 Cards. Wasn't planning on getting the UK or Poland sets so it was a better deal than the Ammo Box. It took a couple of plays to get the rules down but it wasn't too bad. I don't know if I have more fun planning and making the squads or playing the mission. BTW... Those minis look cool.

I'm having a hard time understanding why you stayed in the frozen field instead of moving to the objective card. The hostiles on the frozen field are suppressed and not returning fire. What is the thought process of why you didn't just move on?

Even with the mistakes I enjoyed and appreciate your playthrough. I received my copy of the basic game and the two Russian decks yesterday and will be running my first mission this weekend. I am an eastern front guy too :-) Not to add insult to injury, but are those hand to hand tokens on each soldier instead of hardy counters?

Yes, I put the HtH counters on so I wouldn't forget them. Maybe I should have used them. I'm not much of a melee fighter in WF. However, a few weeks ago I played a game of SF with 5 others. My son-in-law bulked up and only did HtH stealth attacks. I took a shotgun and went with him, backing him up. Together, we cleared the path for the rest of the squad. Great fun!

Been looking for a military card game interested but 40 page rules book usually not my thing. Not sure what the board is for ? Is the map for ambience only? Interesting any way .

Rule book is not insurmountable, especially with the good vids out there on how the system works (including the Modern version of WF). As for the map, you can ignore it if it bugs you. The original WF game was planned with no map, but it was added in as a Kickstarter bonus. There are gameplay vids out there that show play with no map, and it works just fine that way.

yes we all will certainly make mistakes learning how to play this game could the player have not used the drawn action cards for the other soldiers to get the first terrain card rather than spending actions?

In a game with multiple players (or in this case, if I'd run more than one Player Soldier) with more than one hand of cards, yes, they can share "intel" and any one could contribute a terrain card by fulfilling its requirements. Since I only had the one hand of cards, I needed to use actions to draw up a new hand to try and fish at least one out.

so when you are playing solitaire you only draw a hand for player soldiers? no squad or NPS?

Correct. Only Player Soldiers get a hand of cards.

Just got the second edition... Set it all up ... read the rules... have no idea how to start ...even with your great video ... i got one player and a (nps) .... drew my 6 cards ... im lost ... the rules do not explain the sequence of play ... just what everything is .. smh ughhh

Playthrough videos are your friend. If mine didn't do it, you might check out some of the others out there. Or maybe Warfighter just isn't your thing. It happens.
