Just noticed that your wood stove has Scandinavian language on it. Think it is Danish or Norwegian. Using my native language of Swedish I am 95% sure it means “Late at night, when the day is over, god make my fire never run out”

I also saw the Dutch language on the stove. How does it get to your home in Japan? Nice to see, but it makes me even more curious. When the house is ready I'll come over for a cup of tea and a chat.

I enjoy watching you and your wife work as you understand old and new technique and understand how to make them work together. I also like that you recycle product when it can be but do not discard as it can always be used for fire wood. 👍🪚🔨😎

I am always amazed at how you guys build in Japan, you make the framing look so nice it basically doubles as quality trim. Great job! 👍

if you set those blocks inside a car tire and then split them, you won't have to bend over and set them up again, to split them again.
