It's so amusing how this whole ass continents are hidden when they have in universe flights and even were able to see the planet from space. Also space travelers (drenai) could definitely have something on their spaceships to scan the surface of unknown planet to map in out roughly. Yet since burning crusade it's "new hidden continent" one after another.

For those that are a little confused why Kharazan is so intertwined with all this cosmic stuff, know that the Ivory Tower (the original name of Medivh’s tower) was built upon a huge nexus of magical ley lines. Ley lines are direct conduits of magical energy, and naturally flow through Azeroth and convene at certain places. Dalaran has always been built upon a nexus of ley lines, even when it was located to Northrend, it floated above one.

They keep talking about a "soft revamp" of Azeroth... Imagine that village outside Kharazan rebuilt, inhabited by Kirin Tor, Ethereals, Dragons, Dracthyr, Void Elves, Warlocks, local Forsaken... a proper magic centric settlement focused on wide ranging issues like research, guarding the Dark Portal in place of Netherguard Keep, maintaining leylines, cleansing Duskwood, etc etc... sort of a mini, more diverse Dalaran. Would be a great alternative to trying to always cram everything into the two capital cities.

A new major City, or at least a main hub for a potential old world overhaul perhaps?

This all reminds me of one of Il'gynoth whispers: ''The lord of ravens will turn the key.'' Or maybe that is a stretch? Who knows!

Medhiv has always been the story I wanted more of.

On a side note...a good quality of life addition would be a Library tab to our Collections page so we can keep and re-read every Book, Letter, Note, Missive etc that we have ever gotten by quest/happenstance/whatever.

The Cosmic Wanderer sounds like a Naaru. With as many void story hints as we have been getting, I'm surprised we haven't heard more from the Light.

I don't know why, I cried when you talked about Khadgar dying and having his last moments next to Medivh while defending Azeroth. Medivh is probably one of my favorite characters, The Last Guardian is probably my favorite book about Warcraft lore, I wish that he'll come back and just be a giga overpowered old grumpy wizard, destroying everything with the flick of a finger... Like c'mon man, even his title is cool, he's the Last Guardian, his mother was the coolest mother in all wow lore, what else could we wish for, just bring him back. He's tied to Thrall (which wee know will come back, hi Metzen), to Malfurion (which took the place of Ysera for... nothing ?) & Tyrande, Khadgar obviously who needs to die since he announced it and Jaina who's close to Anduin who needs to come back at some point. ALSO, he knows Alleria and Turalyon.. So everything is linked !

What if they’re not planets but realms tethered to Azeroth? The Emerald Dream, the Elemental Plane, the Shadowlands, etc..

THIS is some of that "cool sh*t" that's missing from DF. Awesome video. Got me hyped for the future of WoW. 👍

Karazhan always was and still is one of the most interesting things on old azeroth. Great to utilise it more of they can.

Back before WoD, while the WoW forums had a fan fiction section, I wrote a short story about Karazhan being the Chronal Spire from the WoD alpha map, and said that an arcane time explosion sent it tumbling through the timeways to crash into Azeroth in the ancient past, explaining the Deadwind Pass explosion and the fact no one knows who built it Still wish that was right

Perhaps Medivh knows what Zovaal knows. Whether 'what's coming' is an interplane war or an external threat, that's for Bliz to figure out. Just hope they find someone who can handle it properly unlike how they handled Shadowlands.

I see it in front of me: A black screen with Khadgar’s voicing fades in into a raven flying over the Eastern Kingdoms… Khadgar speaking epically of a ”you”-character and other unknown mysteries. The raven then closes in on Karazhan, finally landing next to a lower body we all emediately recognize… Khadgar’s. The raven then transforms into ”human form”, and there he is. Medivh..

Him kicking down out door and just teleporting us out makes me chuckle and makes me want housing haha

at this point if we are gonna be traveling the stars I wouldn't be surprised if we run into the protos fleet. Do any of those planets resemble planets from StarCraft?

Well Mr. Bellular.. you are a wordsmith.. got me hyped up.. and I will shell out the extra shellings to even get the pre order for such an expansion.. A side note.. you seemed truly passionate about the content after really long time...

Also in Karazhan is proof the Titans were erasing evidence of their history. One of the notes you pick up. It is the only one that references the Titans, but it disintegrates in your hands.

Great video mate! Karazhan as a gateway hub sounds brilliant.

Medihv was the reason I went mage when I started playing World of Warcraft. That, and the mage in the OG cinematic.

Very cool video, there is something about like Warcraft and Starcraft lore that shares DNA obviously as been written by ye Blizzard of Olde. While both split into different IP there are some concepts that just feel eerily similar. Chalk it up to a converge evolution of ideas but with Metzan back perhaps see if these entanglements play out more. The idea of Void, and creatures that return to it after a set back, like Amon, Narud and co. echo the machinations of the Legion. Medivh is one of the characters that could bridge the grounded warcraft lore into the cosmic scale that shadowlands attempted. I just wonder if we zoom out enough maybe one of those infested planets isnt old god but zerg.

I really do hope they drop the "Titans bad" stuff, it feels like a sour and tired cliche at this point that the cosmic entities are ALL selfish and bad and we're our own scars etc etc. The Titans have shown little to no reason to be malicious to us and every other cosmic force seems to want to enslave people.

A little fuel to the fire that Trolls are pre-titan. In Ulduar, if my memory serves me right, when you to Algalon there are multiple races in star holograms lining the way. There is no Troll statue.

OK guys I know all of these are speculation and sounds cool and Spectalite, but don't hold your breath and don't forget we are talking about Blizzard, they are always find a way to fucked up and after that retconned it.

Primal Trolls could be things almost like Jin Rohk but greater, something beyond our normal understanding of trolls

The opening scenario idea is perfect. We could finally see Alleria fight in a cinematic using the Void, Tyrande could have her Elune moment where she calls onto some of that residiue power from being the Night Warrior, KARAZHAN AS A HUB????

It would be cool if in a Void expansion we see faction wars begin again. Though not Horde vs Alliance but Light vs Void: We enter through a portal in Karazhan and through some intro quests we are given the choice of joining a Light faction or a Void one. That way we can go back to older Warcraft with strife happening but do not have to return to the tired faction war of old. I feel line it coukd be an easy win-win.

Damn man - that was awesome. I really think Blizz should hire you to work with Metzen to finally fix the quagmire that is current wow lore and move it forward. That said....I have ZERO faith anything as cool as what you hypothesize will materialize. Sadly whoever puts these "easter eggs" in rarely gets to capitalize on them. Often another "forgotten thread". Hope I'm wrong but as one of the few remaining "vanilla" players left, something this good would shock me. Love your videos and the time you put in to this! Blizzard should hire you to pitch expansions! For real! That scenario in the end sounds awesome! I havent played retail sens legion but i would make a return for THAT expansion!

There's massive potential in exloring Medivh. Then again, there was a lot of potential in exploring the afterlife and rebirth alongside dragons. I personally really appreciate Medivh and his involvement across Warcraft, I just hope it's presented in a way that doesn't compromise his character the way Malfurion was.

What if... whatever he's trying to push back gets through. We abandon the Eastern kingdoms and need to retake it throughout the expansion. We build new settlements as we go (incorporate garrisons - but only from a "city rebuilding" point of view) and archeology becomes relevant with whatever pushed through is trying to dig up some old Long lost items from pre ordering days. Would be interesting if we actually then fail to retake the Eastern kingdoms and end up actually losing kalimdor. Thus, needing us to seek shelter and "gather the troops on the other side of azeroth.

The ending of this video got my HYPED!

You said something that made me think who is more powerful Queen Azshara or Medivh?

Seeing Medhiv again would be really cool, but I think WoW should take a break from the "Next Biggest Threat" that they do for every expansion. Rather, they should build upon the world and make Azeroth relevant again. For example... instead of Exile's Reach and then defaulting to BFA, we can start in our racial starting zones and then level through a reworked Azeroth (Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor). For the higher level to end content, it should still be in Azeroth. Such as a Return of the Defias, Rebuilding Night Elven society, or Retaking Gilneas, etc. It can be a plethora of storylines in regards to what has been happening behind the scenes as the past expansions have been taking us away from the old world. Rather than the "next biggest threat," it can be us coming back to help rebuild and restore order. For example, the remnants of the Defias could have gone into hiding and worked their way up into the upper echelons and aristocracy of Stormwind. Then when all the chaos happens that brought us away from the old world, the Defias could use the opportunity to take advantage of a weakened Stormwind to incite rebellion or start a revolution. Also, I would be personally happy if WoW added a Holy-based priest dps spec and a caster Necromancer class. AND... stop referring to us as "Champion." As you're leveling, you can be referred to as "stranger" or "adventurer". Maybe, if they still wanted to, you can be referred to as "friend" or some other title instead towards the end-game. As long it's earned.

Sounds good 👍, and maybe bit better than that, because games I appreciate hold that floating feel to them in my mind, and even though there are two MMORPGs on that level I'm not playing either. Is it my epilepsy, being tired, or just both. Lich held some simple and floaty feel to the world, and it was like some cool brand clothes when you knew someone playing it, but now I realized it's more than that, and I saw it like that, because "grass is greener on the other side of the fence, but it actually was quite cool 🆒 expansion.
