The rustic graphics n mistery sounds of War1 took me to the epic War2 in my childhood. War2 was exciting for the labored maps, stories, scary pictures drawn in the game book, 90's cinematics and, of course, battles... I loved it more than war3. 'Cause i was an adult already n War2 was more realistic (about characters) and so approached to medieval age as well to RPG stories, in my opinion. Whole nights and even years playing n struggling to overcome some episodes, with shouts of victory like winning the world cup! I didnt have internet cheats n didnt understand english very well here in Brazil, at those times, but loved to fully understand the whole story years later in KZread. Thanks for the video :)

Whenever I used to play world of warcraft, I always put the intro theme on for going into battle. Especially later on when the Cata battle against Deathwing was pretty much the closest we got. Not to mention the blizz con digital ticket reward was a zepplin mount for horde (which was the only true horde zepplin mount at the time). Yes I used to fly that zepplin about with the warcraft 2 intro playing. Well worth the early access to the WoD reveal and fun in-game. Good times...

Oh, long story, but here is a short version. I know, it looks like a lot, but this is as short as I can make it. Dreanor was torn apart, leaving a continent and a few other pieces to float around in “space”, which were renamed Outland. Khadgar and the other survivors got split up, but all of them had no way to return to Azeroth, so kinda made themselves at home on Outland. Around 18 years later (in World of Warcraft), the Portal to Outland got opened by demons, and both Horde and Alliance went through to push them back and root them out, as Outland was basically their beach head. So, as players explore Outland, contest the Burning Legion and other enemies, we actually find Khadgar (and other survivors) in the few remaining settlements, like Shattrath city, home to all kinds of survivors native to Draenor like orcs and daenei, but also people from other worlds and now adventures from Azeroth. And he’s very much in favour of Horde and Alliance working together to defeat the existential threat that is the Legion. He eventually returns to Azeroth and Dalaran, becomes part of the Council of Six for a time, but doesn’t do too much, until someone messes with the timeline. It was a weird expansion in WOW that meant going to an alternative Draenor and Khadgar was more or less the expedition leader, since he’s experienced and pretty much neutral, willing to work alongside Horde & Alliance and respected by both. We were mostly successful, but unfortunately at the very end a portal on Azeroth got opened, leading to another invasion by the demonic Burning Legion. Time to fight them on home soil. So, Khadgar rallied both Alliance and Horde, went back to Dalaran to get the Kirin Tor on board (also became leader of the Kirin Tor and de facto ruler of the city) and played a major role in helping to defeat the Legion once and for all, as well as keeping both factions united in the meantime. While fighting the Legion we also found Turalyon and Alleria, who had been flung to a different corner of the twisting nether all those years ago, and had been presumed lost/dead. Out there they had joined an army of Light-wielders, dedicated to fighting the Legion, so everyone joined forces for the final battle. FYI, during their reunion with Khadgar they reminded him that it was the wizard’s turn to buy drinks, while Khadgar told them that Danath (now ruling Stromgarde) and Kurdran (back with his people) were both still alive as well. Of course once the Legion was gone, tensions between Horde and Alliance rose again, but Khadgar kept Dalaran neutral, because he really wants peace between them (he’s really sick of these pointless, destructive wars) and was unwilling to kill those he just fought alongside with against the demons. The others still serve the Alliance exclusively, with Turalyon actually being regent of Stormwind, since the King’s currently missing. And that should be the basics.

@@LordThomasPassion Varian Wrynn died in the Legion expansion, very early on, yes, but his son Anduin Wrynn succeeded him. Anduin isn’t dead, but after getting abducted, mind-controlled and such, he needed some time away to find himself/to learn to trust himself again. So, for now he’s wandering around somewhere, not even his spymasters knows where, which is why Turalyon is regent until his return.

@@spoiled_sushi2031 Ah, I see how that might have been confusing. Originally, Draenei were from Argus yes; I didn’t mention it because I didn’t want to get into their backstory and at that point in history Draenei had been living there for centuries, they considered it home, with new generations having been born on Draenor. I used native more to differentiate between people living on Draenor prior to its destruction, and none-natives as in people, who arrived and lived there once it was turned into Outland (like anyone from Azeroth, Brokers and such)
