    i have bought an 88 inch pica spitfire 21lbs with an underpowered Zenoah 38cc motor just to specially to learn how to land it...grew up with a Sopwith pup (Puppiteer) but am really a Heli 3d guy and a carbon glider guy but no expert as i am an old man just an obsessive flier....loved all the landings in this video but i just cannot take to the final approach technique where most of them when close to the stall give some up elevator and hoping it sinks which provides feedback on ground speed and where it is around a possible stalled wing..... i am hoping i can get mine to fly slowly enough on flaps with marginally increased tick over to put it down straight pushing gently forward on the elevator gently shutting down to tick over..... Perhaps i am simply delusional and do not live in the real world. beautiful video and just what the warbird guys need....so cool

    Nice selection of aircraft and the slo- no feature was good. That B 17 pilot/controller was smooth!

    Very nice. Old Crow at the end used a good habit. Once your gear touches down on landing, raise your flaps.

    Yes, I do the same, helps with nosing over .. just stay away from the gear switch though 🤪😁👍

    @@WarbirdPiLOT Yes, once you've made contact with the ground you want to kill that extra lift. I've even added a crow mix for warbirds that have a tendency to nose over once on the ground rolling.

    P51 Old Crow showed how it should be done, runway behind you is wasted real estate

    I’m curious, on the P-47 do they duct the exhaust out the bottom of the cowl flaps behind the motor mounts or do the duct it through the fuselage like the wartime aircraft with the superchargers did.

  • @WarbirdPiLOT

    @WarbirdPiLOT

    Usually they duct them straight out the bottom of the cowl, like mine here.
