Trump recovering at New Jersey golf club
Trump has indicated he has every intention of showing up at the Republican National Convention (RNC) later this week and give a speech where he’s expected to name his vice presidential candidate that will be running against him.
But for now, he’s here in Bedminster at his golf club; this is a place that he likes to spend time in the summer and he’s there recovering presumably until he heads to the RNC.
Authorities here are taking every precaution.
We saw it as we were trying around the golf club - it’s a very rural, farmland type area but all of the entrances to the golf club were blocked by police cars. Media was not allowed to stop along the way, we are a good few kilometres away from its entrance.
Security has been heightened not only here in New Jersey but also in New York, at Trump Tower, where supporters of Donald Trump have been stopping to pay their respects.
And you can bet when it comes to the RNC this week, everyone will be on high alert, as well. www.aljazeera.... .

Israel says it is studying Hamas response to possible deal
The Israeli government has issued its first official remarks on Hamas’s response to a possible truce deal, stating that the group’s comments are being studied by all parties involved in the mediation process, but offering few details.
“Hamas’s reply has been conveyed by the Qatari mediator to the Mossad. Its details are being thoroughly evaluated by the officials involved in the negotiations,” a statement from Israel’s foreign intelligence agency, the Mossad, said on Tuesday, per the office of the prime minister.

The Associated Press confirms a New York Times report on a two-part plan for the release of hostages kidnapped from Israel and a pause in fighting of up to two months, citing two senior administration officials.
Like the New York Times, the AP report notes that CIA director Bill Burns is expected to discuss the contours of the emerging agreement when he meets on Sunday in France with David Barnea, the head of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel for talks centered on the hostage negotiations.
