I am german but sang this to my daughter sporadically for three years now. She is now almost fluent and requests this song after a bad dream. Its SO special and cute.

I cant get enough of this..it just brings tears to my eyes every time the story thé everything thé its so good and the animation…I just want to cry listening to this it’s so much better then every single song I have EVER seen in my life. It’s so beautiful and I can’t describe it the rythmée the voice and background vocals it’s almost as heavenly i always listen to this crying and sleeping. It’s just so indescribably beautiful…

Para mí, esta película junto con Susurros del corazón, son las joyas y mejores del Estudio Ghibli. 🤧🥰. Ambas películas son bellísimas.

I went to put it in the background while I was working, in the second part I cried without knowing the meaning, then I went to see the meaning and I cried even more.

It uses the "in scale". It's a pentatonic scale used in traditional Japanese music e.g "Sakura sakura" and "Kojo no Tsuki".
