You forget this is literally the only sort of useful helicopter in the german tree until you get the Tiger. Grinding the Tiger without a premium is way too cancerous, and literally impossible without the Mi-24 because all the BOs are currently completely useless. No German helicopter except the Mi-24 and Tiger can even deal with air targets with more than machine guns. Premium MI-24P > Premium *BO by far*. Gaijin really should downtier the Mi-24 however to 8. something as a helicopter to offer an atleast decent gaming experience. Especially the BOs as they are part of 60s-70s warfare and don't fit into modern combat *at all*. It boggles my mind what Gaijin was thinking throwing all these tanks and helicopters coming from the 70s until today's state of the art military tech into the *same BR bracket*. Anyway... As someone who played way too many games in my premium BO, I can say the premium Mi-24 is a viable if painfully expensive option to grind the Tiger if you got the money to spare. In my case, I sold 2 event vehicles to pay for the 10.000 Golden Eagles. If you're desperate in grinding the Tiger, this is what you are looking for. On the bright side of things: It is one hell of a sexy and legendary helicopter and that alone makes it fun to fly, atleast for me. Hope I could give some inside.

@@mr.harness1444 I meant both helis. The Mi24 is a great anti air and a solid pick overall as long as you don't have to dodge anything coming your way. It's very fast in a straight line for a helicopter so if you want to get close and personal, do swift attack runs shredding tanks with your massive guns and rockets. I don't really think there will be any new premium heli to get very soon.

just got it two days ago to grind for the German Euro-Copter. You are exactly right about all the criticism towards this chopper. it is outgunned and outclassed. Not worth the 9000 GE's its priced at. If you are in the german tech tree i feel your pain but you should wait for sale on it or GE's. Preferably 50%

Update on my previous statement: With smart play and of course a premium account, I was able to grind the German Heli tech tree in week. This chopper works but needs a little careful playing and situational awareness. Something that will be needed a lot with KA50 arrives

Recommend keying in 'fire flair series' instead of singular as you can fire over 30 flairs in a second. Helps you survive against stingers and mistrals.

I know this is old but year they doubled the amount of AGM’s you can hold. Usually i like to run only 4 tho with the R60’s and hover over the close heli spawn and give out long range presents I’ve been able to kill quite a few jets and tanks and even outgun an SU-25K in a joust. Currently it’s the only german premium heli and it’s kind of required if you wanna get the tiger.

@@SAKOSNIPER tbh im having a different view on it. Tbh the sluggish turning on it can be over looked I'm getting around 20-30 kills a game in the Heli EC mode. The main missiles are quite good for air targets. And the r60s are a godsent, tbh the best load out would be all guns. In ground battles I'm getting 5-7 kills a game. Not seen much issue with it even in the RPS loss issue.

Happened to notice that this was the only HFS 80 review aside from mine... and then also saw that you are in my squadron :D Good video tho, not exactly the same as my opinion on it, but you still have valid points none the less.

I just watched your review, you have really good cinematography! I agree with your conclusion; I think I write my script after a day of getting dunked on by ADATS', so i think I was a little overly critical. You have any info about Britain maybe getting the Westland Apache in 1.93? A man can only dream.

No official info, but if America gets an Apache then I think we have a good chance to get one sometime soon, be that 1.93 or another future update. Although in a recent dev Q&A the Westland Wessex was mentioned by name, so that might be nice to see.

Thanks for the vid! Will be getting it next discount. G-LYNX is great but can't hop in and fly effectively because you don't get your Hellfires right away. This bird can spawn with 80 rockets and CCIP. The cockpit is gorgeous too. Not needing a META, just a cool piece of history to fly. Won't expect too much from it thanks to your vid. Thinks can only go up from here!

Thankyou so much, it's rare I ever find an exact answer to a question I have online. In this instance, what the different is between this and the standard tech tree version. At the time of writing this premium chopper is half price in-game, but even at that cost, I can't justify buying it just for colours and an earnings boost. If I'm that desperate, I can always get a talisman for the standard version.

I bought it for the sheer fact that I’m done with the allouete and huey but ye especially in EC it’s armament lacks far behind the ka50s and even the ah1s

I have the chopper and it has night vision just not thermal imaging. By the way I like it heavy and I can aim with the fixed cannon fairly well. I love the chopper. I have evaded tons of rockets at full speed with countermeasures. Yes, the air to air and ground missiles could be better but they are okayish. The cockpit is real, unlike most other choppers. One thing it's true its a copy paste chopper so for those of you who want to grind the normal tech tree one, go for it! I bought it and I don't regret it, but then again I am biased to the Hinds, they feel industrial and heavy, love the looks, and to top it all the Hind has a proper working clock.

i have the chopper but im happy with it, max speed is good , armor is good , durability is good , ballistic computer and weapons selection gives me precise long range rocket and gun kills,rockets are good guns are decent , atgm shtrum also not that good pen more like a last resort weapon but at least its fast ,good for other choppers , r60m for sneaky plane kills, all and all very good heli , i have some more other heli , this one is my choice after tiger , also considering the lower br and premium, i used it to grind for tiger coz each heli game gave me like 15k rp and 60k silver, i still do it for silver...but for RB its game changer in br 9.7

I own the BO 105 premium and It's a nightmare to grind the rest of the helis with it. You once in 2-4 games kill a tank with it if you spawn with agm and if you spawn without them you're useless a won't get any rep due to the lack of firepower to even get assists. It's discouraging, I was thinking on buying this one if they do a summer offer but man... this is hopeless xDD. I guess with the MI24 at least you can do something on helicopter battles whereas with BO 105 you can't

it still a fat target for SAM's and Jets, but yeah it's a good purchase, i bought mine today with 50% and i am enjoying that Heli, not the best, not the worse, it will be very useful against jets and Helis, just fly at Low ALT, Trees more exactly.

But gaijin remove BO premiun :/

For 80% I'd say yes. 50% and beyond is decent just because how annoying is to farm the rep for the others. It's not good by itself but the alternatives are pain and missery with the other shitty choppers

Don't be listening to War Thunders spoilt brats, it's a good all around combat helicopter takes a bit of getting use to the size and handling. Sad that one of Germany's most useful helicopters is Russian and has such a horrid paint job. (Pls Someone out there submit a camo skin to Gaijin for this thing.)
