I forgot to mention that if you rangefind the other tank, it will show you if it's friendly or an enemy. Sim is a totally different vibe. More immersive. It's almost like a different game. But you need to know your tanks 😅 Also, I'm scared to use AA...

I realised trying to differentiate one small pixelated blob from another flying high in the sky will inevitably lead to a TK so AA is a no-go for Sim (for me at least)

Little trick : if there is no killcam or shoot cam when you are shooting at a tank, it means that it's not an enemy. And also it's very hard to play in sim battle when half of the team plays with captured tank from enemies countries

its not hard, you can range find to see if its an enemy and check the score board to see what the friendly tanks are.

What's even funnier about this video being in the 103 is that it's the only tank model in the game that is capable of being fully driven and combat able with only one crew member, adding an extra tier to the "simulator battles" experience.

If you use Laser-Rangefinder the gun will adjust so you don't have paralax. Also use radiocall T-4-1 to show your teammates your location :) If you shoot someone, and you don't get the little damage/hit-cam in the top right corner it was a teammate.

The paralax is always there doesn't matter if you rangefind or not, it's just that the further the enemy is the less paralax you have

only in the vertical axis. for short distances the horizontal paralax is insane in some tanks. i use a pack of sim sights in every tank cause of this.

@@kittehgo a simple chat message/radio message/map ping can be the difference between a winning team and a losing team. Keeping your team in the know about where you are and where the enemy is will almost guarantee a fighting chance if not a win

yeah, the DO-217 heavy fighters/interceptors are trash in air RB, but units in Sim. can soak up punishment (barring engine hits, but i've limped back on one engine and the other one with no oil before), and dish it out with their shotgun of a nose.

Mainly because absolutely no ground players can fly plane in Simulator control and only a handful of air players can. Also there is like some kind of calibration to maintain aircraft stability before you play any game. So yeah, no point bringing a plane if you will just spin that thing around 10 second in the air.

If you don't know how to fly in SB then you are a handicap to your team. Airplanes dominate ground battles, I often have more kills in an airplane in SB than the rest of my team in tanks together.

That first clip shows one of the major issues with sim, the refusal to split nations in sim by Axis/Allies or NATO/Warsaw PACT. BDR vehicles should be on NATO, whilst GDR vehicles fight on PACT.

Sim content is extremely fun and predetermined lineups makes matches really interesting especially in mid tiers, also the rewards are way higher compared to realistic aaaand when you get small games (like 6-7 players each team) it turns into a chill and also scary experience and makes games more fun IMO since there isnt a constant shitshow going on (made the comment before watching the vid, 2:19 is what im talking about lol) (again i just saw 7:04 HAHAHA the video is literally a proof to my words, not to mention that game was very silent and scary) so more sim vids thanks

It’s really helpful to have your team report in every minute or so. So you know who is around you. For example if you use „On me“ and everyone near you uses that as well, you get a good idea whether there is an enemy or friendly near you.

For me, that is on the high end what I can play, only bottom two cold war Sim are possible with US and Russia.

Honestly I'd be super happy if they added a small blue triangle above teammate when you are looking directly at them for a sec, while rest of Sim settings remains, so you still have to identify and not kill your own while still maintaining realistic settings, I tried Sim battle but that's the only problem preventing me to play way more sim

@@filonin2 then you shouldn't able to repair, once tank is penetrated you need to bail out, you should black out irl if you over g in planes, IRL they were trained, push tegether in a formation and not facing duplicate tanks, are you trained? Why don't we have 50vs50 front line mode with 5 to 10km maps for Sims?

I remember my first ground simulator battle, but it was a long time ago... The lineup concerns the first era 1.0-1.7BR(?) from Japan. Poland is the map where I started the battle and chose an anti-air tank with AP rounds, I killed 5 enemies and captured one base, but at the end of the battle I killed my teammate and wrote to him in the chat: "Sorry brother, this is my first battle, I thought "that you are the enemy" and all team members were surprised that I managed to save the battle, even though it was my first game in this mode. for any mistakes I really sorry, because english isn't my first language

6:07 from what I’ve experienced, other engines are a tiny bit louder than others, but EVERY single tank can still be hears from exactly the same distance away, and I belive it’s 200m. Further than that, they make 0 noise for others

Sight are available in the forum for most vehicle which helps tremendously accuracy wise.

Definitely gonna try ground sim after watching this video. Haven’t played a single sim battle although having over 2000 hours in ground realistic.

if you use the range finder on a target and don't shoot, a second bar loads that tells you if there are allies nearby, very useful from a distance

In realistic/arcade, you can choose an option to aim from realistic sights. I've always used this, despite it putting me at a disadvantage, because of muh immersion and because of the extra challenge of factoring in offset.

I played my first simulator battle today, thanks to this video😅

naval sim should have you literally acting as a commander of your vessel, with a fully functioning body and free movement about the vessel, telling your bridge crew what to do.

nice vid xD ngl sim battle is really fun and I havent encountered a hoard of cas + slower and more enjoyable battles because team mates actually try to play well

Sim can eaaily be alot of fun, I really enjoy the cupola view. Makes the game feel more tense when you cant spot people round corners with the 3rd person cam. Kinda wish there was a GRB mode with that so I dont end up accidently killing teamates in captured vehicles. (Or someone using one of the 60 sherman variants that look super identical) Plus with CAS/aircraft being harder to use I feel I get bombed less often so thats always a win.

Funny thing, i was playing my favorite Churchill VII in SimB and Italian M18 and Sherman where standing on my side trynna trick me. I played along until i "accidentally" shoot HE at the m18 but the Sherman still got me. Good match ngl had our laugh and giggles.
