Just wanted to point out: the artillery shell that killed Bo at 0:49 was also the one that killed Sturms. That M4 not only got 3 kills with one arty strike, but 2 with one arty shell.

Why do people use the locust in higher tier matches? I know it's a meme, but is there any real tactical advantage to using it?

@@panther-nk2hn honestly it depends partly on skill, partly on playstyle, and a lot on how serious you are about the game. For me I enjoy nothing more than a good ambush and brawl, I have an aggressive, yet (reasonably) patient playstyle which seems to work with the locust. Personally I would have said that it has a massive tactical advantage as it is quite small (small enough to get into and behind objects other stuff can’t), whilst being able to reach (and hold) 56kmh reasonably quickly on most terrain, and to top it all off the best 37mm round that it has access to (the APCBC shell) can do 87mm of pen, which is enough to go through the side of everything bar the Maus and some Russian heavies at extremely close range which when coupled with a fantastic reload of 3.7 seconds (or less depending on crew), is enough to shred most tanks. The best thing is though that if you take it high enough you can earn 30k per kill and if you die you have only lost 437sl, it’s a very good trade. Honestly the best way to play the locust (works for me anyway) is as an ambush predator, rush forward and grab either a cap or a decent position depending on the map and game mode, somewhere where you know you can hide and lots of stuff goes through. Then either ambush stuff if it’s alone or move off and go to the camping spots, most of the stuff camping there will probably be either lightly armoured or have a longish reload (hence the camping away from the battle) and will hopefully be in full zoom mode. Chances are they won’t see or hear you at which point ambush and destroy them. Most important thing to remember is to keep moving and get in close, get close enough to touch their tank with the barrel and then aim at weak spots/important module and crew spots, preferably get the driver first and then work on the turret crew. I would recommend starting out at 5.3 and practicing on Panthers, beware of Russians as their armour (and fuel tanks) can usually defeat or mitigate your rounds, although ambushing and killing T54s and other high level stuff is fun. Most important thing though is your seriousness about the game, I do it to have fun. I enjoy running around at mid or top tier killing tanks that are far superior armament and armour wise. I don’t really care about grinding too much or making SL or RP, don’t try to play that way to grind as you will drive yourself insane, it’s a good money maker but it’s more about blowing off steam than anything else (at least for me), don’t ruin it for yourself.

I aboslutely love when I see Dicker Max(es) or Hetzers which you can then humiliate by killing them with HE rounds like US 75mm one.

Yea... Guess why i skipped all the open TDs in the US tree... and i rarely play other nations' convertibles as well! And sometimes it pisses me off so much, i just report that lucky jerk who killed me with artillery.

I bought the German kv-2 to other day I've been using it with my tiger and I love how m-18 always try to kill me but 152 mm with he mean you can hit near then and they no longer exist.

These things were a terror till the HE buff, now you can nuke anything with one good hit in the right place
