One thing Trump should be applauded for when dealing with Kim un. Trump said Kim stated he had a red button. Trump stated he had a bigger red button and it works. Sometimes it's necessary to let your adversary know you walk softly but carry a very big stick. That is the only way to get people like Kim un to understand what respect is.

Great sample size and understanding of statistics to think there's a correlation. Putin would have probably invaded during Trump's presidency, he just had to put it off because of pandemic which spilled over to Biden's presidency. That's not an achievement for Trump. What exactly are you implying? That Trump would have used his amazing negotiation skills to "talk Putin out of it"? The only possible way to do that would have been to escalate and threaten a war with Russia if they invade instead of just threatening with sanctions. And sure, that might have worked, I do think Europe as/is too soft with Putin, he only knows the language of power. But realistically Trump would have sold Ukraine out to his buddy Vlad, he wouldn't have prevented shit, he's afraid of Putin as he has shown many times. So sure, if West didn't help Ukraine and just let it be conquered "peacefully", there would be less tension between Russia and the West. That "wouldn't blow the world up to pieces". But to consider that a solution shows a short-term self-important thinking. A conservative thinking, the worst type of thinking there is - just do stuff that helps ME RIGHT NOW. Great philosophy to life indeed.

Russia is not after the land. Russia wants independence in the Donbas to do as you say, secure it's borders. NATO no longer has a purpose yet NATO continues to create all of these problems. Example: If Russia signed treaties with Canada and Mexico and in these treaties Russia was allowed to place weapons of war along both boarders of the US and then place sanctions on the US and then blame the US for those sanctions, I would think the US would have a problem with it. This is what NATO has done to Russia. It weaponizes bordering countries of which Russia poses no threat to and NATO expects no response... They are fucking idiots.
