I never noticed the parallel of Caesar and Nova's stories. Caesar was an ape whose mother was killed by humans which led to his adoption into a human family where he was taught their ways and took on many of their habits, which he still practices to this day. Nova is a human whose father was killed by apes and led them to adopt her as one of their own, also teaching her their own ways like how to use sign and other skills later in life.

This little girl is extraordinary. The moment she mimics "I am brave / apes are strong together" made me want to see that movie and cry. She makes this adventure extremely touching and illustrates brilliantly what it means to be human. Great performance that I will keep in mind forever now. Thanks Maurice for bringing her with you :)

Yep. That scene when they all get their fists together. 'Apes.. together... Strong" That got me a bit.

Nova is such an important character. I’m glad that she was reborn so beautifully for the new Planet Of The Apes. ✨

One of my favorite scenes with Nova happened just after Luca put the flower in her hair, she looks over at Caesar who was watching and gives him this coy look like “how do I look”?

So this is gonna be an emotional roller coaster huh? I dig it

the Planet of the Apes trilogy is in my opinion the best example of what happens when you reboot a movie and actually care about it. These movies get better with each one and if this somehow manages to be superior to Dawn, then my faith in the future of film making will undoubtedly increase.

​@89five3five not really because the OG franchise from the 60s and 70s already has origins and prequels and pretty much all of that, even the charecter Caesar. The 2010s reboot series is literally: a reboot. You could call them prequels to the Mark Wahlberg movie, maybe, but even that doesn't really make sense. They're definitely reboots.

i can already tell Nova is going to be the most precious thing in cinematic history :))))))))

Best part is that this is exactly what happened. Made me want to cry like a little girl.

Nova's character blow my mind!!! She had such a huge emotional impact on the story and with only a Limited sign language dialogue she give every scene a warm feeling. Kind of reminds me a lot of groot.

That was very sweet of them to take care of the girl, since the nice orangutan had took her to be safe.

drama, imagery, passing, expressions, emotions... this is one of the best movies I have seen in the last 10 years.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS! This is seriously goona be up on my "Top Trilogies of All Time" list. Andy Serkis is a GENIUS! He dose not get enough credit, the man deserves an Oscar! As an animator and motion graphics artist I can say he is one of the most highly under appreciated actors in Hollywood! My jaw drops everytime I see his motion capture work. He is one of the reason I wanted to work in the film industry.

This is just one clip from the movie (well not even…) and it's already got me in tears!

I just can't wait for this movie anymore. This going to be epic and emotional as hell. The early buzz for this movie is so positive they calling it the best movie of the year and one of the best trilogies.

I love that Nova has been re-introduced into the remake POTA series like Caesar, but now I'm praying they don't kill her off like they did in the original POTA series cause she was my favourite character.

Alejandro Salvidres During an interview with the director shortly after the last film he said that his universe is not directly related to the past films. He also said that in his movie universe this is meant to take place long before we get anything like the original planet of the apes and that it is more of an origin to the planet of the apes. He said that in the old planet of the apes universe Caesar would have been dead for a few hundred years already. Things do change and what you said may still happen though.

We can see a body of a human in front of the house but no mention of him being her father. Also, we can see what might be dry blood running down from Nova's nose. Could she have been kidnapped and Caesar and his crew came along and unknowingly saved her.

I know it's been 5 years but the girl is infected by the virus that is why she can't speak and other human capabilities, the virus removes some essential things on humans, one of the symptoms is actually bleeding and other common symptoms of flu, the virus Is a simian flu named as the ALZ-113, she's lucky the virus did not kill her but instead removes her human capabilities. Ceasar kills her father, and when the child see his dead father, he did not react mainly because the virus also removes emotional affection, basically it removes something on us that makes us humans.

Caesar knows how he lost his mother killed by human, even though he was so small at that time. Caesar not allowing Maurice to take Nova with them, but when Maurice said "i cannot leave her" he understand, because nobody would take care of her just like nobody would take care of him if Will didn't take him when he was a baby.

Ceaser saved nova. Nova Saved Caesar. Rocket saved nova. Caesar saved them all. Together apes strong with a little help from a human. That was brave enough to become an ape when the human s didn't want her anymore. Watch this film a few times it gets better every time

When Maurice says "You are Nova" it really sounded like Charlton Heston. I thought it might be an overdub homage to the 1968 POTA. I checked the credits but only Karin Konoval was listed for Maurice. Did anyone else think it sounded like Taylor?
