Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy from The Last King of Scotland and Atonement) has every reason in the world to be unhappy. Tyrannized by his boss, abused by his colleagues, cheated and humiliated by his girlfriend, this young loser victim of recurring anguish, survives only on tranquilizers and macrobiotic meals. Hard at twenty-five years. It is then that a girl of dream bursts in his sad life. Fox (Angelina Jolie from Gia and George Wallace) is an elite killer, affiliated with an ultra-secret sect: the Brotherhood, whose members have set themselves up as instruments of Destiny. Their age-old motto: "One man killed, a thousand men saved". The time has come for Wes to follow in his father's footsteps and to discover in himself resources, a thirst for violence, and unsuspected reflexes and abilities. Under the tutelage of the mysterious and charismatic Sloan (Morgan Freeman from Street Smart and Glory) and Fox, Wes begins a rigorous training program that will make him the best assassin in the Brotherhood.
