_Sophie's World_ is the only one she provided that I would have picked as a top 5, but I'm not saying her picks aren't good. I don't think it really matters very much which book you read in terms of an introduction to philosophy. _The History of Western Philosophy_ by Bertrand Russell was my main introduction to philosophy, but honestly, any philosophy book with good reviews on Amazon will do just fine (her #1 pick has good reviews). Maybe get two books, one that covers the major philosophers and another that covers the major questions of philosophy. Then read a couple of books written by those major philosophers you just read about or books that tackle the major philosophical questions your most interested in learning about. I think most people will gravitate towards one of three approaches --- the analytical approach that relies on logic and reason, the continental approach that has a more esoteric perspective, or an approach that incorporates a religious perspective. The _Very Short Introduction_ series is pretty good, and they have introductions for analytic philosophy and continental philosophy. They also have introductions for religious philosophies of India, Muslims, Christians, etc., I haven't read the religious ones, but I imagine they'd be fine.

Russell’s introduction is not well-liked by philosophers. His misrepresentations of Plato are a particular blot on his career. I have a professor in the Bertrand Russell society and he refers to that book as the great shame of all Russell enthusiasts

I liked how she presented the books, maybe a little bit nervous but it’s ok. Thank you, it’s on time for me. 👍❤️ Also did like the picture quality and background, though imho skin tone a bit off (complicated lightning maybe?).
