I opened totem without any trick, just opened the 400 and it was somewhere in the middle. It was last year and I never got totem again. It is not trick, what you experienced, but simply luck. A guildmate got 2 totems without any trick this time, others like me, nothing.

You just got lucky is all, the more absolutes you have the less the chance. It is all about how many you use on a cumulative basis. You don't have a lot of fragments, so your chances are higher. Email the devs about what you have to spend until you next pull.
