    i'm a serb born in croatia, i experienced war and i had to leave everything behind and run. yet i have no bad feelings towards croatians, they are good people. it saddens me when i see keyboard warriors fight online, most of them don't know jack shit about the war

    I died almost as a child, under the Serbian attack, in front of my family house. But my family friends from Serbia were worried for us during the war and never stopped being good friends. People are good and kind. This war was so stupid and pointless, shouldn't have been like that. I hope you will come back once again.

    I am planing to visit Beograd next June/July and hop over to Novi Sad perhaps we get to meet somewhere. About the friction there is with some individuals in some neighbouring countries religion has nothing to do with it, I am roman catholic and some of my closest friends are Serbian and we treat each other like family so dear Serbs Croats Macedonians Albanians etc. don't let religion be the "excuse" to make enemies, you can be brothers and sisters once again Zdravlje i sreću za sve vas .Dovidjenja

    Sadly atrocities are made in a wars we were bombed by the Italians and the Nazi Germans during the war, and I can assure you it was not selective targeting in those days. We made friends with both the Italians and the Germans, holding grudges for more than a hundred years even for thirty years doesn't make sense , sure you must remember history so you don't make the same mistake, but don't chain yourself to it ,it will slow you down in your journey to the future .Your friend in Malta Joe

    Can you go in Osijek in any other time than in cold winter day, like spring, especially on saturday night in old town and central square, maybe you'll find some people there.. You cannot talk about something you haven't seen at all, you haven't even been in old town Tvrđa, as you mentioned it in your old video. That's like going in Belgrade and not seeing Kalemegdan or Knez Mihailova. But yeah, Belgrade or Novi Sad can't be compared to Osijek, much higher population and a little bit different lifestyles.

    Charlie in Croatia you have to watch it. once in Djakovo they tried to kill me with grilled meat. I was just gonna try a small piece of everything. there was vrat, pljeskavica, slanina cevapi the whole yard smelled like grill, dark whole grain bread and than we drove 110 in 60 kmh to that vacation house and I sobered all up and then they coocked peka like quarter of was it pigglet or was it beef with carrots and taters. not everybody survives bro! I got up in the dawn everybody still slept so I ate some more. dangerous place for a Serb, jefe.

    They are actually changing everything just to be different. Which is not always so bad (like in Nogomet example) but sometimes it's just a gibberish and unnecessarily (I mean if it fits and works why in the hell would you NEED to change it?), it's that pain and obsession they have for things just needing to differ from Serbian (or any other in this region). You need to find balance in all things in life, but very often Croatians do not even know what balance is not even to mention what it can represent. And in that, they are like us from Serbia. In the matter of fact, we are all the same (in core). I know couple of very pleasant and nice people from Croatia, with whom I never had problems or issues... But yeah, there are still very strong waves of negativity and propaganda that affects and corrupt kids/youngs these days in all of these countries which makes things still be very tense.

Stop talking about that becaouse the fact and reality is very , very alarming. Thousands of people running away wherever they can go to find a job from either countries doesn't matter serbia or croatia and yet, Istambul has a bigger population then, Croatia, Srbia and Bosnia Together. Isn't it funny ? You guys still arguing about which city has more to see as a reason for visit ? ? ... Stop living in lies and I'm kinda getting sick of serbian lie and mitomania.

    Speaking of the linguistical differences of these ''two languages'', have you ever been to Niš or elswhere in the southern regions mate? You won't understand a word of that Serbian dialect. Actualy there are only minor differences between the two; the Serbian and the Croatian that we really should talk about two dialects within the same language.

    Nice Video bro.... but i disappoint your attention to the war, because croatia is small country split in 5 regions, 2 were attacked, there probably thinking of peace is not possible, but Dalmatia, Istra, Zagorije, we want peace, because most of people living of work, sharing market and turism. If we stay just in 1 our history point we will not progress, and people like me want just stop speaking abouth fuking war.

    Corruption, especially politic corruption, is big a problem. Also the politics of the ruling parties are impotent, in fact politics in Croatia is total shit, nationalistic and idiotic or totally incompetent but corrupt! That's why the young people are moving to Europe. Trying to find a normal place to raise children. And also normal salaries and living standard. Croatia cannot live only from tourism, tourism is just a story tale.

    Hi Charles. Love that you visited Zagreb and Croatia. The language differences are exemplified by the most common question word for "what". Shtokavian uses the pronoun što or šta, Chakavian uses ča or ca, Kajkavian (kajkavski), kaj or kej. Second I know that you are based and work in Serbia and are influenced by their politics and their views of Serbia within the Balkans. Your videos from Banja Luka was one sided. Why don't you go to Sarajevo or other parts of Bosnia and meetup with young people who had lost family members due to what the Serb Četnic and JNA (Jugoslav People's Army) did to them and their homes in Bosnia during the war in the 1990's?

    It’s not the point that he denies it, it happened, but the point is that in western media only Serbia was viewed as bas even though tens of thousand serbian civillians suffered in war not only Bosniak or Croatian and that is the problem bcuz there was and never will be anything about serbian victims of the war in western media. And that is why most of the people still think Serbia is full of bad people (which is not true).

  • @orim298s

    @orim298s

    6 жыл бұрын

    Never said that Charles denies what happened during the war. Hell all civilian sides suffered, some more than others. The point is that he should ask young people who were affected by the war how they feel and are dealing with it. Charles keeps saying that most young people are relatively over it and are friends, yet he ignores the fact that people from the Balkans have a deep and long memory like 500+ year old memory. Unless that memory is dealt with and truly forgiven, there can not be much true friendship. Charles should ask all those displaced young plp and families, have they forgiven their neighbors?

  • @orim298s

    @orim298s

    6 жыл бұрын

    Agree with you that we do not need to make war anymore. The plp got screwed over by the UN imposing an arms embargo on both countries, and UNPROFOR and NATO who really did more harm than good. I just wish that Charles would be more objective. I'd like him to talk about the political and economics aspects of Serbia and Beograd. They are having elections coming up this March. There is also the continued tensions in Northern Kosovo which is an unresolved issue from the wars in the 90's. What do young plp think who live there? Both the Serbs and Albanians.

When Serbs use them in some other cases it's OK, but when other nations use their slavic words it's funny? What's your point?

    I as a Serb have grown up along side with Croatians side by side. We will never be together the same race because like you know Charles, Croats are Catholic and Serbs are Orthodox. Serbs find it a huge insult to say that Catholics and Orthadox are the same because their both Christians. Serbs would say to those people who dont undestand those spacifics to "go and kiss the vaticans or popes arse". Serbs and Croats like each others company because they are comftable with each other's individual identity that will never change in the future. We are born of "Today" a different race, we have identified each other as human beings. Serbs will always be proud to be alive and all european countries should be thankfull to the Serbian knights and heros that protected them from the ottoman empire.
