i´m a white german, i´ve never been to africa, but i listen to african music since i "accidentally" bought a record* on a flea market way back in the mid 70s - it sounded completely alien to me, but as i was curious i kept listening to it and got used to it and by and by started to love it - from then on i kept searching for african music - in those days it was almost impossible to find african music here in germany - at first a guy gave me a record with south african zulu jive, then by and by more african music came here since king sunny adé appeared in german telivision in 1981 - saw him live two times and then we had a wave of many, many great bands, musicians, singers, dancers - i went to countless concerts and was never disappointed - they were all gorgeous artists! one of my sweetest discoveries here on youtube was this one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qKB4yalsca7YfcY.html and now i´m here and this song here is haunting... :-) so i absolutey agree with your words, keep going! one love! love, respect and greetings from germany * i found "my" record from the 70s here on youtube - in case you´re interested - i still LOVE it... kzread.info/dash/bejne/eHWKqcukitKrkcY.html
