Hey, I'm the guy who makes the graphics/levels/designs for Midas Machine, and I wanted to say that I'm glad that you liked it. First off, don't worry, it wasn't cancelled, the issue is that theres only like... two people working on it, so it's taken a while. We are getting closer to finishing it though. One thing that is holding us back right now is music. We have some awesome people making songs, but the list is rather hefty (So if anyone out there can make music and wants to contribute...)

I remember when psycho Waluigi was in early development and he chucked bombs everywhere.

For some reason, I've always thought it would be very interesting if there was a videogame in which Yoshi had to go on an adventure without Mario and Luigi (like, maybe they're too busy with the Toads, Koopa Troopas and Peach), and Yoshi's companions for some reason end up being Wario and Waluigi instead. A sort of hypothetical "dump them together and see what happens" scenario is the basic idea - and the three have to journey together alone and make it work. Anyway, this idea amuses me and I think it would make a cool game.

psycho waluigi seems like it would benefit from a twin stick mechanic of sorts on a controller

When I played Mario Party 3 and ended up being stuck inside this stupid circle on the board, I first called it "the circle of why." But now. Now, it's "the circle of WAAAAHHH!!" Cuz I was playing as Wario and I insisted that Waluigi be on the board as an AI at the least!

After all, most of those developers don't realize that there's an art to making a game challenging. It's tricky to balance fun and challenge while maintaining an extremely hard obstacle for the player to overcome, and a lot of people who try to make games hard just for the sake of being hard don't understand how that balance works.

I've genuinely never understood why Nintendo doesn't include Wario and especially Waluigi into more Mario (or Paper Mario) games to give them some stronger characterization. Waluigi has been around for what? 15-plus years now and he still has no real character traits? I'd really love to see a Mario game where Bowser fucked with both pairs and then they both want revenge and reluctantly work together. Seems such a waste for Walu to exist if they never do anything with him. A "Paper Wario" game could also be a good chance to further characterize them since it would inherently allow for more dialogue. Not to mention could also be a fun way to add some freshness to the Paper series by seeing things from a nw perspective.

i remember when i was a little kid, i was always having my aunt download and play flash games with me, and like i still do today, i loved me some mario. and we would always play flash mario games, and there would be these ones called: luigi's adventure, wario's kooky kwest, etc, and this one game, with waluigi, is what introduced me to him. he looked like the other plumber bros, as it was 2d, but years later, when i was reintroduced to the character, in 3d, i was scared shitless. he looked weird, almost demonic to me. i was soooo creeped out that i played as this guy as a kid.

I like to think that Waluigi is actually an actor hired by Mario to follow around Wario and pester Luigi because Luigi was jealous he didn't have an arch enemy of his own and Mario thought Wario was lonley.

Strange idea, but... Remember atmospheric Mario.exe games (like The.)? So what if... Atmospheric (maybe phycological) horror game, but Waluigi is the star?

i did not know i needed this until it came

i had an idea for a waluigi fan game, where waluigi is sick of wario's shit, and wants to be in his own game, or at least in a game with him, and goes on a quest to kill him for revenge. throughout the game their are shops, run by koopas, goombas, or wizard kameks, and you can buy items with coins, which can be spared in your inventory for later. a very small inventory, at most. so you can use items like, waluigi's tennis racket, where he can hit enemies into the foreground and get a shit load of coins in return, waluigi's kart, essentially a super star, but he can't jump, and he moves extremely quick. as mario and luigi use mushrooms to grow bigger to break blocks, waluigi uses poison shrooms to temporarily become small enough to get through small spaces to progress the level. the first boss, and weakest, is bowser, who you kill in one hit. the second boss, mario, and the second weakest. he's essentially the wario boss fight from mario land 2. next up, luigi. he jumps really high, and he'll kill you in one hit if he lands on you. luckily, he leaves a shadow. all you have to do is ass stomp him. then, wario, the final boss. wario uses charge attacks to break the walls of the castle, and also ass stomps you. he's really hard to avoid, but he only has 3 hit points. you're rewarded with princess daisy, after killing wario, and she says: "waluigi! you're finally in your own game! im so proud of you!' then waluigi kills princess daisy, because he secretly hates her because she at least gets to be in one non sports game. you deserve a medal if you read that.
