Waluś idolised in Poland

Janusz Waluś, the killer of anti-apartheid activist Chris Hani, will
be released from incarceration this week.
Interestingly, the rise of interest in Waluś's popularity in Poland by
young nationalists and fascists appears to be growing.
Meanwhile, reports regarding where he will be based once released and
whether he could leave the country are still to be debated and
answered by SA authorities.
According to Dr Rafal Pankowski, who studies fascism in Poland and in
football, Waluś's supporters are idolising his actions.
Professor Pankowski elaborates.

We are about to release your hero Poland, standby! We filed his papers today and he seemed pleased with them, asked to be moved to a different facility to celebrate.

For Polish nationalists this is not case of discrimination/racism - it case of anti-communism - and as I wrote in response to @"Brick Topp" - they are ones in Poland responsible for a rhyme "On the trees, instead of leaves, Communists will be hanging".

Have you read comments on his parole release under polish articles? There are halfwits that only thing they know is his victim was a communist, yet they proclaimed Walus a hero. Even the daughter admitted that without donations, he wouldn't be able to afford the attorney.

This ruling is going to cause a lot of unrest. Black people are still facing effects of apartheid with sudden rise in racist incidents, this may cause violence.

Kibole - "football fans" are not brightest bunch - "he killed communist leader" = good - they do not know about apartheid or anything related to South Africa - which leads to this simplistic view of "he killed communist leader and because of that South Africa was saved from communism" - which they then from Polish nationalist view point regard as heroic deed - but they are completely missing point of his connection with AWB - racist ngerman inspired organization - which from Polish nationalist point of view is considered as treason of Polish values. But "idolised" in Poland he is not - some radical groups of radical right maybe see him within that simplistic view "he killed communist leader" but you could probably count them as few dozen vocal people.

@@not.likely I couldn't agree more with you. Being watched far away in the depth of Europe does not make South Africa great. Pornography is watched by many people and that does not make it great. If this man is released and is then murdered on the streets of South Africa, what kind of coverage would that give South Africa. If he is to be released, it makes sense to deport him. Judge Zondo is creating problems for South Africa. He failed the JSC interview.

@@samsonmarikwa2631 Zondo blundered with this one. It was obvious what was going to happen. The stabbing incident however, shows that the rule of law in SA has little meaning for the people if it does not serve their imagination. As if we don't know this already, but also confirms that South African society is intensely pervasive. We saw this with the Zuma incarceration. What happened there was the interference by the correctional services, who for some absurd reason also managed to manipulate and twist the outcome....as in this case. I give a big thumbs down for democracy, the legal system and rule of law in SA. For me it no longer exists. SA law has diminished to little more than an appeasement policy to keep the peace and carefully concealed kangaroo courts. Regarding the global perception of SA, I think a lot of reporting about SA arriving overseas has been contaminated beyond the truth and amounts to little more than deflective propoganda.

@@not.likelyThe issues facing South Africa are so many and Ramaphosa has proved to be a damp squib. His grip on the ANC means he cannot be removed. Even if he is removed, who within ANC can provide the required leadership. The ANC is dead. Zondo has managed to add another source of headache which will cause further division between people. For now, the issues being reported are those to do with the land redistribution, militant labor organizations, corruption (Phala Phala and other cases), lawlessness where people are allowed to take the law into their own hands and lack of security. That kind of reporting chases away capital.
Most polish comments were referring to Walus as a hero. In my mind, he's labelled a hero because he killed our Chris Hani, he escaped the death raw and now lately he received an unjust parole .... So must we also referred to the man who stabbed him as a hero as well ❓ M just asking shem🤷 ... "O ska thoma noga mo mokoting, etla o loma" #Karma .... Indeed Mrs. Limpho Hani is serving the living God 🤷

His skin tone is irrelevant in this matter for Polish nationalists (especially "football fans" kibole - who are not brightest bunch, and also like to sing about that communists will be hanging on trees instead of leaves) - they have explicitly simple reasoning: good commie = dead commie.
