Absolutely wonderful, the music and the videos. It reminded me of the travels I did in Europe, the joy of seeing all those beautiful places. Lovely memories. Now I'm 71, retired and in the midst of this pandemic. One of the things that keeps me going is listening to my favorite music and this is one of them. Just Awesome. I Am 84 years old & still kicking about. Beings back the old memories of the 1954s I was a teen age boy and we had clean & Wonderful Days . When we go for a dance , it was just honorable and great. No complications. My wife of 60 years & Still She is with me & it is just Great to brring back the magical moments of good old days. I've come to notice that Shostakovich's Second Waltz is on almost every waltz compilation I watch and I'm not surprised as it is one of my favorite pieces of music of all time.

I love this music and even if I can't dance to it, I can imagine myself dancing to that music. It transports me to another different world.

If there is anything virtuous, lovely or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things. Such are these lovely waltzes that remind us of times gone by when grace, beauty and elegance were virtues to strive after.

I can listen to these music all day long..just like being carried away somewhere... dance waltz to every beat ...and sway as I turn around and around and.around.. Dance w me!!!!

Yes, huh. It seems to start out very slow, much like Saint Saens did in his arrangement of "Tortoise" in his Carnival of the Animals using Offenbach's CanCan in a very slow paced arrangement. And, the arrangement (by whom?) in this first part even get a bits haunting before it picks up. Wonder what the arranger was thinking.

Take me away to a distant land far from here.Where I can know peace and can hide from the disparate noises of the city.I want to sequester myself into the hinterlands of an alpine landscape.There is so much of the world to see, but we have only a finite existence and we are tied town by social expectations we must fulfill.I have realized how fleeting existence is, and would know like to start living according to a more authentic lifestyle dictated by my own wishes and desires.I'd like to break out of the monotonous lifestyle like many people, but instead all we do is just dream and carry on.We don't realize what happiness actually is, rather happiness is often created by the consumerist culture creating false needs.I do find it ironic that this music is so profound yet only has such a small number of views - it is at the pinnacle of artistic expression and creative genius, these waltzes are more than walzes , they are are an elegant succession of the most mellifluous sounds coalesced into a finite melody that is angelic in composition and sound.

Back in 1977 I went thru Europe one summer with a group of half Americans and half Australians. I was 22 y.o. then and had the most fun I've ever had. We went to 11 countries and one was Romania, which was under Communism rule then; even so we were transported to a time forgotten, as they still had steam engine trains, and the countryside was from 1800s with all the quiet rural beauty that goes with it. We went to Bucharest, and had a night I"ll never forget. It was one of the most elegant, romantic things I've ever experienced. We were in 1870's Europe, as we dined on fine china with candlelight outdoors under the full moon. The waiters all wore tuxedos and we drank fine wine. They had a huge, amazing orchestra that played waltzes and we all waltzed the night away. This music reminds me of that night and my time in Romania, a fairy tale land I will always remember fondly. I'm now 67 y.o. and still fondly remember the beauty of my time there.
