I've owned this gun since it came out. Walthers in general, just feel right in my hand ergonomically. My wife owns a PPQ .22 and loves it. I own the WMP Mag and I could shoot this gun all day. It's a loud fire breather with little kick. Puts about 3 times more punch than a standard 22LR. I carry this gun pretty regularly, although it's on the large side. But with 15 +1 and minimal recoil. I can put 15 in a pretty tight grouping. And at around 23 cents a round, it's not a bank breaker. Overall....I think it's the funnest sidearm I own. This one will be around for a long time.

Manual has a good explanation of what ammo works best. Nice review.

Some areas require copper because of wildlife . If a gun cannot use ALL ammo it is JUNK to the user . I am waiting for my money back .

I collect .22 of all brands .. LOVE the .22 Mags this may be in the collection soon .. My fav is Grandpas old colt , that thing hits a beer cap on a tree at 25 yards !!

Do you have a Ruger LCR or LCRx yet? Love mine. I traded my KelTek P33 for it. My KelTec ran good just requires more attention than unwanted in reloading Annie and it’s a bit TOO big! Lol it was light and accurate , mine didn’t jam, I used 49-45gr quality ammo

I love Walther quality and ergonomics. I have the WMP to companion my CZ 457 Lux .22magnum rifle. Both excellent power and accuracy. Walther's Owner's Manual is very specific on approved ammo for this .22 magnum for proper performance‼️ Thank you Graham for your quality sober non political presentations 👍✌️🏆⚖️☮️🗽🇺🇲

The paddle mag release is just so much faster and easier to use than a button release (or heal release), I can't understand why it hasn't become the standard.

After I purchased the ppq m1 with the paddle release I switched the mag release button on my other guns and now can use my trigger finger to release the mags like on my ppq.

Good potential CCW perhaps with a good holster… .22 wmr has nasty terminal performance, good on meet targets, good penetration

The perfect gun review. Been debating the S&W vs Walther. Was 90% on the walther side. Done deal now. Great video.

Not sure if it’s included in the literature that comes with the gun, but Walther has lists of non-recommended and recommended .22 WMR. If I remember correctly, they do not recommend using anything under 40 grains. On the list, they note what works “best” (Fiocchi Shooting Dynamics 40 grain JHP), “very well”, “well”, “ok”, “inconsistent”, and “not recommended”.

I traded in my Taurus TX22 for the WMP. I am so glad I did. From the fireballs to the accuracy to the fun of shooting it I really feel I made a good trade. I do have to clean it everytime I shoot it but well worth it. By the way there is a list on the web site about what ammo to use.

I picked up a stainless Ruger Single six that came with a 22 magnum cylinder. I was shooting inside right next to a wall on my right and not sure if my ear pro failed on 1 shot my ear was instantly ringing but it's really fun to shoot. Fire balls and no recoil. Did you ever come across any ammo that had the "New Car" smell? Great videos!

I has the same issue with the same Hornady ammo in my WMP. I'll use it up in my revolver. The WMP is a nice gun to take to the range and it loves shooting the CCI. I'll have to try the CCI Varmint, looks like the gun likes that a lot.

Always noticed but never commented on how much I like your logo , the Griffon.

Interesting, the favoring to left of target. Thought it was just me, or my revolver, but every 22 mag load I've tried always favors to the left for some reason..all my 22 lr and 22 short always hit dead poa.

I expected Graham to break out in song at 15:45. "...it's got a good "HOME ON THE RANGE." 😀😀😀

Have one and enjoy shooting it something a little different.

I bought 2 Pmr-30 Gen 2 . Fun ,fireball loud my take . Love 22mag range toy. My daughter took the second as one of her purse guns. Never had an issue. I do use the uplula , Just easier

Good to see it would run on some of the 30 grain loads. I really want to pick one of these up as I love .22 wmr.

I think Walther's precautions against 30gr is because they're on the edge of, or are too soft to fully cycle the gun.

I like the cartridge but the 4 people I know that have the PM30 turned me off as every one of those pistols have been nothing but jam machines when they had them at our range sessions. Now that Walther has a 22Mag, I'm very interested. Thanks.

I run armscor it's great ammo !

Love my WMP. Just make sure to use the recommended ammo of at least 40 grain. CCI target ammo works flawlessly. Avoid Winchester.

Walthers website has a list of recommended and NOT recommended ammo for it. And it says “most 30 grn polymer tipped ammo doesn’t have enough recoil to function in the Walther wmp”

Was really looking forward to see this pistol tested. I enjoy shooting my revolver and bolt action rifle in 22 magnum but it really can’t be trusted enough in semi automatic pistol or rifle.

I still think it should come with a threaded barrel, if only to add a flash hider 🔥

I don't have to shift my grip for a normal thumb magazine release - unlike the horrific carpal-tunnel-causing contortions required to reach goofy flappers on the trigger guard. I'm glad it's really only Walther and HK that try to force that on us.

Have you ever tried using your trigger or middle finger on the paddle release?

The user's manual clearly states that it will not run on 30gr Hornady ammo. I says the CCI Maxi Mag and the Fiochi are the best.

I think it is an excellent gun for my wife to start out with, to get use to shooting, before moving up to a 9mm. Also it should be a fairly decent home defense pistol. It may not have to stopping power of a 9mm or 45 but I don't think anyone would be happy being shot 5/6 times with a 22 magnum round.

Make this either a true compact or even better a subcompact.

My wmp does same thing. Will not pick up next round of hornady 30 gr.

People are expecting this trigger to be as good as the other Walters it is not set up for a tactical gun let's not forget 22 magnum is not a tactical round the snap being set up for a really fast shooter😊

Things are junk! A lot of the WMPs have been returned and refunded directly by Walther including mine. The magaines had over a quarter inch of loose slop when locked in place. It wouldn’t feed and jam every two to three rounds with all the suggested ammo. Walther kept it for a couple months and said there was not a problem. Took it to two gunsmiths to confirm it was a defective design issue. I’m sure if the magazine doesn’t get bumped touched p, or wiggles it might cycle properly.

FYI I cleaned all the grease and plastic tumbling pellets out of mine before I even took it to the range. Walther customer service is also horrible. They first told me they were going to send me another gun and confirmed there was a problem. I had to call them probably six or seven times in two months to see what was going on and then they told me there was nothing wrong with my gun and sending back as is. I asked them to send me a new replacement as promised or refund me. They, of course, refunded me because they knew there was an issue. A lot of people have been refunded for this pistol since it came out. I’m surprised anybody has bought one after all the bad reviews online. I figured they discontinued it by now.

@@GBGuns they never offered a 30 day money back guarantee to me. I was told to sell it if I didn't like. I asked for a refund since they were not going to repair or replace it. I was told the WMP was not one of the 30 day refund firearms or pistols but they would honor it. Took 3.5 months for a refund check.

30gr is not the recommended for this gun
