There is literally no mention of the Cyprus Crisis in Isaacson’s book. This was a sideshow in terms of the bigger picture in the Middle East, but still a window to the man who is Kissinger. Why did he determine that the illegal occupation of Cyprus by the Turkish army was preferable to a democratic Christian government led by Makarios.
