Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

    @@DivineLogosYou're full of it Hank was nervous to step up to the altar. It was Walt that knew how to court his wife But after all those years playing it safe AS a father Walt got nothing in return for being that way for them I mean the absurdism of this comment. I comes out of some kind of AI transcript, it can't be human but someone who studied a couple Walt was at the top of his game at university. He couldn't hang with Gretchen. That was his bag. Let's assume he owes everything we know about his skin in the drug trade to his exceptionslism in the classroom What you're saying is as if all those students who doubled down on their physics studies during Berkeley's engineering boom are useless. Something had to have motivated them, only sometimes when trying to capture lightning in a bottle you can't be reckless with the procedure. You end up shocking yourself and breaking the bottle So much about the modern world we have physicists to thank for. Most of my relatives are engineers and learned men. Without their contribution to my life I wouldn't be working. I'd be looking at tik tok videos all day like your average zoomer instead of taking courage and committing myself to learning I'd argue that the kind of money you make is a faucet that some other brilliant mind granted you access. Like a Walmart greeter who gets minimum wage just to stand somewhere. You lot talk like you are out there, but I've been around you, most of you get one career prospect going and stay put in that community You're more a fish than a human being, only knowing where the feed is from up top

  • @ramblincapuchin9075

    @ramblincapuchin9075

    Ай бұрын

    I don't read it that way at all. Hank is just far too comfortable throwing his weight around. Quite literally being a cop It wasn't about the bottle. It wasn't about him having achievement to discuss. It all started when Hank said "why don't you go ahead and top me off?" In typical jock fashion It then lends itself to "don't let your mom know" as if he doesn't have that sense. Then touching his Jr's hair after coughing. Then interrupting _himself_ mid stride to ask what Walt was doing. Then AFTER Walt pours the stuff on buddy's to let him know he's serious, snatches the bottle opportunistically to seize control. Then looking to Skylar as his trump card If he had any sense for how to treat Walt as fellow man, he would have left it alone after Walt said "What are you looking at him for?" As a woman you probably can't reconcile the primal element of the disrespect, so I'll put this in terms you understand. How would you take it if someone started feeding your cat something that would make it bloat? The cat rushes up to give him or her affection because it knows it would get a treat. You know the situation is bad intuitively because you know what kinds of things your pet can and can't handle. Essentially that it's you having to maintain it and your living arrangement What Hank was doing was asserting his genetic supremacy over Walt's household. Coming and going as he pleases, keeping tabs on Walt's influence. You have to remember that this all started when Hank told him to get some excitement in his life. To add insult to injury this very scene was him discussing unnecessarily descriptive detail over what happened to Tortuga. Which is visibly causing him strain. He was using Walt Jr as an emotional sponge to vet his torment RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS FATHER I don't know about you, but if someone was being crass in front of my baby and their only excuse was that I was being a wet blanket, I'm liable to do some damage. Oh, but Hank gets a pass because he's a good old boy and he's on the "side of justice". The operation that he was on where Tortuga was killed happened to be a professional challenge by his direct superior and a chance to warrant more exposure. Hank was anxious to take the opportunity. Had he just stayed in his lane, Walt probably would have gotten killed in a low level dispute the likes of Tuco. Both he and Gomez would still be on the best and their wives would not be widows But because Hank doesn't know his limits, he can't leave well enough alone. Or mind his business with his own family

    The sadness in so many scenes in this show is Walt just takes things too far. I personally think it would've been cool of him to just let Flynn try some tequila but he just has to take it too far and force his son to drink too much.

    Yes! I think it’s actually a good idea to get teenagers slowly acclimatised to some alcohol in the safety of a controlled environment (then they are less likely to go crazy and get into terrible situations outside the home) but Walt had to take it too far and make everyone uncomfortable.

    ‼️**SPOILER ALERT**‼️ Hank has always been a better man than Walter. I think part of the reason Walter was so torn up by Hank's death, was because Walter knew that once he was gone, Hank would have become a rock in Skyler's life, as well as a surrogate father figure for Flynn and Holly.
